We have to believe BRPD had intent to fabricate evidence against JJ, in order for there to be a reason for JJ to lawyer up. We know either JJ or his dad lied about JJ being there, his dad said he wasn't there remember.
In most incidences investigated by police, people talk to the police and get lawyers later.Ask someone from the DA's office. Not everyone bow up and act like asses like on tv when questioned by the police.

If i thought jj wouldn't be a distraction then i could see letting him back and trying to find a role for him.
Are you under the impression that him physically not being under center means he's not talking with his friends and teammates? they clearly are thinking of him, given so many of them wrote JJ's number (as well as RS) on their arms for all to see in the last three games.
Do you think them doing that is a distraction to them or how they've played?

That is what I don't understand. If he is reinstated, he should have every right to compete for playing time, especially since he was the better option between the two the last three years.
Have you ever coached or played a team sport at any level?
Do you understand anything about team chemistry? About the rhythm that a winning team gets into?
Rule #1: When you're winning, don't tinker with what's been successful. In other words, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If it's a distraction, I can't wait to see how they play when fully focused!

If you know anything about family, you handle it internally, you don't air your business. That was th stupid part by the aunt.
You are actually blaming him for not saying anything on the matter? When that would just serve to continue keeping it out there and most people won't believe him anyway? Not great logic because most people have their mind made up anyway and won't be swayed either way by what he says.

that the better player would get snaps over a team distraction?
No. That our coaching staff will discard you when something (perceived to be) better comes along. If you get your wish it will hurt QB recruiting. Why would a kid want to come here and risk getting railroaded for doing the best he can? If he didn't have involvement it is not his fault that he has become a distraction.
If charges are dropped and he isn't allowed back on the team our recruiting will take a hit.

Not him, necessarily.
But Unglesby sure as hell should have gotten out in front of it.
Of course, that won't happen, because Unglesby probably put her up to it. Seems like his MO.

You've been spending too much time in the sun.

I prefer Crash Davis' version..."Don't frick with a winning streak!"
That being said, I do think that given the fact that Les and the staff, to the chagrin of the fans obviously, felt JJ was the guy who best gave the team the opportunity to succeed, then I think he clearly steps into the #2 spot upon his return and is given a shot to play his was back into the #1. If he does that, then great! If not, then so be it... But to deny him the opportunity to regain what would, in this case have been taken away from him by something that did not take place on the field, seems wrong to me.

What do think will happen to team chemistry when his friends know he didn't do anything wrong and he still gets the shaft? I'm sure that will go over real well.

He's just flat out not a good QB, I see nothing wrong with this point of view as long as the reasoning is something other than the legal issues.
so he shouldn't even be allowed back on the team?

For the people freaking out wondering if JJ would start if he comes back.
Why are you freaking out? There is NO WAY Les would start him now. He hasn't practiced since late August. If cleared, he will be allowed back on the team, but will have to redshirt.

If and when JJ is allowed back on the team, it's not like he'll be named starter the very next week. Miles has proven to be the coach (and person) that would not do something like that to Lee. And secondly, JJ hasn't been practicing so he's most likely just a tad bit rusty.
However, I could see JJ playing the role that Perilloux did in 07 in certain situations.

I can tell you pretty much with the certainty that his friends already know whether he did anything wrong or not.

which would be a bad thing IMO. Ford and Ware should get as many touches as possible

This is what should and probably will happen.

And Ung has statements from them saying JJ was not involved. Try clicking on the link.

i honestly can't believe there are people out there that say JJ should not be reinstated even if the charges are dropped. This absolutely boggles my mind.
