I agree the concessions this year truly suck.
A funny thing related to concessions from this past game. When we entered the stadium before the game, my wife needed to go to the restroom before we went up the ramps and steps to our seats. So I bought us a couple of waters, and stood out of the crowd traffic waiting on my wife. An obviously inebriated Hawg fan came up to me, and wanted to know which concession stands sold beer. Not sure where he got that idea, maybe he saw an article where Alleva said something wanting to sell beer in Tiger Stadium and didn't read, or perhaps couldn't comprehend the article, and thought this was actually already taking place. We were down on the ground level on the east side. I told him the only concession stand I knew for sure that sold beer was located on the top concourse inn the center of the north end zone. Off he went like a man on a mission. A couple of minutes later, my wife came up and wanted to know why I was chuckling to myself. When I told her, she shook her head and said you can sure be testy when you have to come to these early games.

Reading all of these posts makes me more thankful for my large screen TV. It paid for itself the first season I had it. Better view, no parking issues, MUCH better concessions, cleaner bathroom, more comfortable seats, don't get held up on the money end anymore. I could afford the season tickets, but the stadium experience has gone down hill from what it was 40 years ago, and just can't justify the cost, time, hassle, and disappointment. It was good while it lasted, but there comes a time that enough is enough.

Thanks for typing that so I didn't have to

It’s a damn shame you cannot get something at half and be back before kick off. The same person taking the order is fixing everything. So inefficient!
How about a receipt.. i got double charged this year. No way to verify how much they are charging you.

I only buy two waters for each game in lower NEZ. We were running late Sat and I saw no line for the groundfloor concessions just inside gates 8-9. Worker there told me the workers there were all volunteers. That seems odd. Is it possible that that stand is NOT run by Aramark?

If someone's email box gets jammed with complaints titled "Concessions at TS are really bad" I would hope they would take notice.

Agreed, LSU needs their asses lit up for this bullshite.

Does anyone know how long the contract with Aramark is for?
I hated Aramark for the 11 years I had to deal with their food. I finally started bringing my own food to work only you can't bring your own food into Tiger Stadium, so you're kinda stuck.
Luke warm hot dogs, water that is either frozen solid or at room temperature, there's no in between. Nachos with cold cheese that can't be dipped in. Pretty hard to screw up a hot dog but it's happened.
Everyone is expecting the prices to be outrageous when you go to a game, which they are, but at least it's sort of ok to eat. This isn't even that which is a big part of what has everyone ticked off, rightfully so.
All the other vendors are still around. The dipping dots, the lemonade stands, but where's Chick Fil A? Everybody loves Chick Fil A.
I don't usually buy concessions but I did have a pretty mediocre hot dog at the Auburn game. The Coke was actually better than the dog. People around me were telling me about their nachos and such.
That's pretty ridiculous for concessions to get this out of whack.

Joe went with the lowest bidder. For the extra money he thought they will now make on profit, they will be losing twice that percentage because people are gonna say “frick this shite” and not get food items now.
Good job, Joe!

Not just football, the concessions at the PMAC were horrible. I tried the Gumbo Nachos huge mistake because the Gumbo stuff they put on them was cold and I spent 17 bucks with a drink. The lines were crazy long and the workers seemed a little lost. I hope things get better in there as the season progresses.

Could have just stopped right here. How could anyone think this would be a good item?

I was drinking! It was chilly I was craving gumbo and it would have been decent had it been hot. Still a mistake I will not make again. On that note, bringing an infant to the game Thursday night what are the rules about bringing water in for formula?

Isn't the deal that the concession company pays LSU +2 mill to run the concession?
It was my understanding when I was reading about the new company, was LSU gets paid this flat fee to use this company. So I'd imagine LSU stands to lose $0 by the shitty concessions. Only people that lose out would be the company itself. I could be dead wrong though.

Knowing LSU you'll have to pay full price. Just another of the many stupid policies that other SEC venues are way ahead of us on. You'll have to have an actual ticket for your infant too, if the policy is the same as football games anyway.

Probably depends on the worker, but chances are you will have to buy a water.

I don't know what the terms of the contract with Aramark are, but I do know that LSU used to make a sizable percentage of their overall profit from football on concessions at each game (pre Aramark).
Ok. Let's throw out the profit angle. Let's talk about finding ways to improve the overall gameday experience inside the stadium and keep fans not only coming and filling up seats, but staying there the whole game. Offering shitty and overpriced food is not a good direction to go in, considering that.
