Best Resume . Hands down. Not a single one better.
Only loss is an 8 point slugfest against what was a top 10 team until Georgia beat the brakes off of them.

Don't be surprised if Oklahoma, UGA or Michigan gets the 4th spot. Everything now is subjective due to the human element. We'll see soon enough whether LSU is now respected.

You mean, just like the AP and Coaches polls?!
It doesn't matter where LSU is now. All that matters is where they are next week. They could make LSU #1 this week, but if they lose to Alabama, the chances of making the playoff pretty much go to zero.

Notre Dame 3 (they did beat Michigan)

I don’t see how you can argue a 1 loss team should be higher ranked than two unbeaten teams. We are clearly the best 1 loss.

Clemson sure looked like a #1 team against FL State. FL State was rumored to have some defense before Clemson pissed in their soup. But then again, FSU may not break .500 this season.

Bama has beat no one. Only decent team they beat was aTm who already has 3 losses and could have 4 or 5 by seasons end.

I think rankings and reasoning will be:
1. Clemson (Undefeated; tougher strength of schedule than Bama; have passed eye test pass couple weeks)
2. Bama (undefeated; eye test)
3. ND (undefeated; tougher strength of schedule than Bama but eye test goes to the Gunps; beat one-loss Michigan)
4. LSU (1-loss; best resume of one loss teams; beat one-loss Georgia)
