Come what may....I'm Very Happy with this year's Football Product!!

There is no reason to believe that this team or coaching staff (Kiffin) will "shite the bed" in upcoming games this season. I've seen enough so far this season to unequivocally KNOW that LSU's football program has righted itself & is in outstanding hands!
There is simply NO COMPARISON in this year's vs last year's "Product"!
Watching LSU's team (offense/defense) play is Fun & Exciting again! LSU's administration pulled off the most remarkable, successful Coaching Grab in acquiring, landing Kiffin to Baton Rouge. Many other iconic programs wanted him. LSU got him!
Lane was (and I believe is) without doubt the #1 Coach in the entire country! When it was announced that he was LSU's coach.....It set off a 1 year media firestorm that has never been seen before in NCAA Football history, which still continues. And the simple, obvious REASON for the non-stop nationwide meltdown, hate, jealousy from other fanbases is BECAUSE everyone knows that Kiffin is the Best & how/what he can do for a program, team!
And Kiffin is doing it, and has done it Fast! The difference is Night & Day. And he's done it in LESS than a season, for Brian Kelly was fired after the A&M game which was roughly half way into last year's season.
Another thing that many have forgotten, which is incalculably HUGE is that Lane Kiffin was/is the PERFECT FIT for LSU, Louisiana culture, Tiger Stadium & Fans! And for that very reason (and I don't care what anyone says or thinks)......LANE KIFFIN AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE ~ For there is nowhere better to geaux!!
Kiffin & LSU is a Match Made in Heaven! And regardless how/what LSU's final record or ranking is this year.....I am very happy, confident in what we have witnessed so far on the field. And that LSU is again "Back on Track" and is building, continuing the Dynasty that LSU is!

PS - this season is FAR from being over for LSU, along with many other teams, as we saw last weekend! We will see, but I still have great confidence in this team & Kiffin going forward. I would not be surprised to see LSU make the playoffs, but if not, still finish in a strongly respected, feared program going forward!

Our 2 losses were very, very close and both came down to the wire. One play, even 1 yard, was the difference between the Win vs Loss. And the losses were "on the road" in truly Epic, Historical SEC Stadium Environments under very unique circumstances! They were the Biggest Games in those Schools/Stadiums/Fanbases history for 1/2 Century or longer!!
I firmly believe that LSU could beat ANY team in the country right now! And NOT just @ home. And Leavitt + Team has consistently + significantly improved despite our key/best players being out with injury!
LSU is FAR BETTER than what many here on the Rant (and elsewhere across the country and media) know and/or believe!

Very impressed with Kiffin/Weis Jr. Baker has underachieved with the talent he's had so far in meaningful games. Happy to see him leave after this year if we can get Venables.

I would have to agree, mostly, with Baker having underperformed. I still believe it was hugely significant, correct to keep him as Defensive Coordinator for Lane's first season.
The defense has been somewhat "feast or famine", but I am still hopefully confident that Baker & our defense "up their game" and perform surprisingly well in our remaining games this season!
You have to ask yourself why Baker could so easily "leave" and be wanted to Coach @ so many other schools/programs!?! And not just as a Defensive Coordinator but also Head Coach! There is a reason he is the highest paid D.C. in the country. Now it is time for Baker to show us & prove it! I believe he can and hopefully will.

I don’t get the Baker hate. In my opinion, He’s the best D coordinator in the league. Defenses won’t always be on their A game but to be ranked 3rd in the country in total defense is pretty fricking good, especially with 2 key players being out.
