When do they get released? Where do you see LSU landing?

The State of Louisiana does not have its own softball team. LSU and some of the other directional schools do, though.

Probably pretty high, we return a lot from a team that made it to the WCWS for a second year in a row. Hoping the third time's the charm.

ULL and their fans had the red arse Yvette Girouard left them for LSU and acted like asses. More so than they usually do. Similar to what ULL's baseball team did, too.

ETA: It was in 2002. The ULL baseball team tried to pick a fight with LSU. Shortly after, Yvette's plaque at ULL was either defaced or stolen in addition to their fans being assholes at a game to the softball team, so Smoke Laval and Yvette decided ULL would not be scheduled in the regular season in either baseball or softball.

I don't know when they get released, but I see LSU landing #1. For sure.

Oklahoma and Florida will be 1&2.
LSU will be Top 10.
Auburn will be very high as well as Alabama.

Sorry man but they are not hurting for a coach. Mike lotief is pretty solid .
Him and Yvette are a toss up

Lotief has nothing to do with how they acted when Yvette left ULL for LSU.

I agree that he's a great coach for the record. Wouldn't trade him for Torina, though.

Lotief is one of the best in the business. If he had the assets of some of the premier programs he would be mentioned in the first few names when talking about great NCAA softball coaches.

That guy has built a monster at UL with no revenue or budget when compared to the big dogs he is running with.

Anyone close to the program can give us an idea who the starters will be?

Tigerbait357 would have a better idea but for now-

P- Hoover
P- Walljasper
P- Smith
C- Jaquish and/or frosh
1- Thornhill or Doyle
2- Quinn
SS- Serrett
3B- Jaquish and/or Doyle
RF- Landry
CF- Andrews, Griggs, Dawson
LF- Thornhill, Dawson

They will miss Kloss, Bell, and Simmons but they are stacked. SEC coaches poll had them finishing 3rd behind UF and Auburn.

Is impressive how fast Clint Meyers has turned Auburn into a national powerhouse.

I expect LSU to be top 5 early, and should have the pitching to match up with the nation's elite. We lost some quality bats but Beth has recruited very well and our defense should be much better overall. If Dobson can work his magic on the younger bats this team will be formidable.
