The rest of the explanation is that you are a small-minded person with low self-esteem. Those types always think the world is in a conspiracy against them.
I travel around the country a lot. It’s the same everywhere. Pittsburgh guys think Saints home cooking kept them from the playoffs and getting screwed against the Rams evened it out.
Insecure people only believe things, without reason. I don't think there is a "conspiracy" against LSU, in the sense that people are colluding to discredit them. But there is an enormous bias from media types against programs that aren't well established. LSU is crashing the party of the college basketball establishment, and it's not what the pundits want to see. So they have a very difficult time just giving LSU credit.
Why? Because THEY are insecure. They pick against LSU, and LSU makes them look clueless. Hence, the insecure reactions.

How about the foul on Sky at the end of regulation? He should have gotten three free throws and it would have never gone to overtime. Is that not controversial??

He got absolutely crushed. He also got hit in the head on a 3 attempt before that as well.

They would never say that about Alabama Football

LSU gets no credit whatsoever for even being competitive in either game. If we had lost in OT in both games, no one at ESPN would have praised us at all. We're just stupid lucky to be close enough in both games to win on "controversial calls". Still on the fringe of being a sure NCAA tourney invitee.

Nice clean tackle in football. Sorry ESPN it’s an obvious foul in basketball. The refs even stopped the game to review and make certain it was the right call.
This isn’t a conspiracy folks. Media thrives on controversy. Controversy creates clicks. Clicks equal commercial sales. Sales pays the bills. controversy also fills print space and air time.
