This is one of those years where there is no dead on favorite. Even the top teams in the country have plenty of wharts to have our doubts.

Texas was 19-2 in the SEC before this weekend and they are still 19-5 after this weekend. That is 4 games better than UGA in conference. Texas was comfortably the number one team in the country, I just don't think one weekend should change that.

Sure. They also just lost their ace for the year. They have been squeaking by for a while and finally had a tough road series. Their offense is bottom third of the league. They have won a lot of games, but their team has a lot of holes.

I think anywhere from 4-6 is justified.

Take at least 1 from Arkansas and you are still sitting there probably at 7/8. Don't screw up in Columbia vs a bad USC team and you are a top 8 seed.

We stink on the road, but the path is there to make it to Omaha from BR.

The lack of consensus at the top of the polls is interesting. It's really a toss up.
that’s why I don’t mind where we end up 1-8. As long as the road to Omaha goes through BR. There’s no specific team id hope to avoid over another come CWS time. Whether we get an overall 8 seed or a 2 seed don’t see that changing our odds of winning it all either way

If you get swept in a 3 game series, you should drop.

So Georgia who has been swept twice probably isn’t the best choice to replace them at #1.

USA Today coaches poll has LSU #4, 0 1st place votes.

5 different teams getting 1st place votes and had we held on yesterday there’d probably be 6 teams getting 1st place votes so it really is wide open right now

I think the massive shifts weekly in the polls kind of show you that its a who's who in college baseball this year.

Its a down season as far as having Elite teams. Everyone is so inconsistent this year in college baseball week to week. I seriously think 15-20 teams can win it all this year.

I'd be surprised if LSU can sweep USCe even though they aren't very good. Winning the Arky series will go a long way towards locking in a top 8 seed.

Sweeping USCe is certainly possible imo. They will most likely have it pretty mailed in by then if they don’t now. They looked pretty checked out against Florida.

soooo...

UGA, who is tied for 3rd in the SEC with LSU is #1

Arky is #2 both in SEC and Nationally

TX is #1 in SEC but #3 Nationally,

And LSU is 4th in SEC and 4th Nationally.
