Last year, we made 16 of out 27 FG attempts, and missed 3 of our 43 extra point attempts between 2 kickers.

This year, Tracy is a perfect 23 for 23 on XPA and has hit on 17 of 19 FG attempts. He's already made more FGs than we did all of last year between 2 kickers.

His only 2 misses this year were both from 53 yards out, but he's still 2/4 on the season from 50+ out with a long of 54.

Another shout out goes to Avery Atkins on kickoffs constantly pinning teams at or inside the 25 and and making a play on recovering a fumble on a kickoff return.

Statistically he makes up like 80% of the difference between last year and this year scoring wise.

Not only does he increase our likelihood of making field goals, he’s greatly increased our range

Once coach Eaux taught them the proper technique they became serviceable kickers.

What is more impressive to me was the talent evaluation.

The recognition that we needed to improve the kicking game was obvious, and maybe just getting anyone would have been better than last year. However LSU coaching staff didn't just get anyone, they evaluated talent and acquired it.

Great job.

Add to that the field position aspect when missing versus making the field goals. Very nice addition!

Atkins was the one who recovered the fumbled kickoff by UGA. He jumped in there and tore the ball out while remaining in bounds.

The thread on the RB when people found out he was "wasting" a scholarship is pure gold.

But oh the whining, bitching and O insults after he was ruled as counting against the 2018 scholarship limit.

The genesis which brought us to this point may have been a rare awakening by our head coach in coming to realize the importance of and respecting the role of kickers. Too many coaches do not get it.

O did not get it prior to last year and candidly, neither did Les. They were recruited and left to their own devices.....told to do superhuman stupid things (ie kick a 5 second hang time that lands on the five yard line in the corner...or benching one of your all-time accurate kickers because he missed a frozen brick during an ice storm)

I am very happy to see not only an emphasis put on our specialists, but the proof that when you do it, it returns benefits.

The expected value of a scholarship being used on a kicker is better than almost any other on the roster. CT is worth a couple W's on the record.

I don’t think we beat UGA without him.

He accounted for 18 points on Saturday.

That’s half of our scoring for non-Math majors, or anyone without the last name McMath.

Will Orgeron try to find another graduate transfer for next year or do we have a legit high schooler in the wings?

WE WASTED A 4 YEAR SCHOLARSHIP ON A ONE YEAR KICKER!!!!

That gem was usually followed by how shitty the 2017 class was.

We have a commit from a pretty good high school kid, and I would imagine they're trying to determine if Culp, with a year out of the spotlight and having a dedicated ST coach, can be salvaged. He was highly regarded coming out of HS as well.
