drooling? no i'm making my point on Mainieri missing out on a great baseball player. you can call it what you want but you have no point to prove on this thread so idk why the frick you're on it. so get the frick out of here.

Drooling basically is what you're doing, starting a topic and keeping it going with the same points. DBG is a much more reputable poster than yourself.

Once again Mainieri did not have a choice, Reine did. He chose not to come back after a year off.

Not like you need a lot of help. You're doing just fine on your own.

Hell, I may know you too. I've known the Reine family for a long time.

Most anybody that grew up in Walker knows the family. I grew up getting coached in football by Ricky and played ball with Jason.

This, +100

Check in on him at OK. every once in a while. We'll find out he can't play there either. That is, if he doesn't flunk out first.

Because you know the family or him or just cuz you grew up near him in walker or sat next to him in retard math doesn't make you knowledgeable. He wasn't good enough at LSU. I'm not gonna get into off the field issues because that's not my business but don't sit here and act like he was better than the guys who saw the field.

JT Wise was a great freshman who got a hot demanding girlfriend and quit caring about baseball. He was told to refocus his priorities and in the end, LSU wasn't up there. He went and did great at OU but we all know the competition was less.

This sounds exactly like the JT Wise situation when his uncle or dad came on here and bashed Mainieri for not keeping him.

Is this stupid thread still going on? I left for a few hours and thought maybe it would be buried by now. Yes, this seems just like the JT Wise deal. LSU Baseball did just fine without the supreme talents of Cody Reine last year, and I suspect they will do just fine without him this year too.

I met Cody last summer when he played softball in my charity softball tournament. Seemed like a real polite kid to me, and crushed the hell out of the softball all day.

It seems to me CM made a difficult decission, and I wish the kid all the best at OU.

Cody that he didn't want to see Cody's talent go to waste another year, so he told Cody to transfer for a semester and Dean would be gone.

He didn't want him to transfer away from LSU, then transfer back.

wanted him to sit out the season, stay at LSU and possibly come back the next year. Reine had little invested, so obviously that wasnt a good deal for him

Tiger Blackwell agrees that Reine is incredibly awesome but didn't get a fair shot.

I don't think Cody is better than the guys we have now. Can he play? Clearly he can but Coach M just won a NC so clearley the man knows what he is doing. Being from Walker I always like to see kids from there succeed at LSU or anywhere but I am not gonna cry foul when it does not work out. GL to Cody at OU!

if the issue was grades how wasn't he passing? I mean Shaq went to LSU, aint no way Cody was dumber than the Shaq-tus haha

Anyone from Walker knows that he has serious learning disability issues. Not a flame, in my experiences with him he seemed like a decent guy.
