I don’t recall ever saying this about LSU football/basketball in my lifetime but I agree.
Would be an interesting thread/trivia question I think. When was the last time LSU basketball had higher expectations/excitement/preseason rank than LSU football? Had to have been the early 90s.

Don't be ashamed. Will Wade appeals to all of us in different ways. For some of us, it's respect and admiration of a great leader who is bringing back our program. For others, it's the appeal of a brash young coach fighting for his people...us. And for others, it's just unbridled man lust. This is a judgment free board brother

My god you suck. You’ve just proved that all your posturing this season about giving Wade a fair chance and wanting him to succeed was all a lie. You’re not an LSU fan you’re a Johnny Jones dick rider, the coach who brought this program to the lowest it’s been in over 40 years, which makes you as stupid a person as there is.

Yep. Wade personally wrote me back in December encouraging me to go to women’s games and giving me vouchers for tickets. Can confirm Will wrote this letter

Agree with most of the letter, but the students really suck. WW get rid of the student section and fill it with alumni who know how to be true BB fans. You will get more energy, excitement, and dedication out of 45yo alumni than any current students.

But, I wish the Wade hype machine (by fans and posters) would cool down. I hate reading "if we don't make the Final Four next year, the season will be a failure." What do I want for next year: the team to consistently play well and make the NCAA tournament. I think LSU will beat those expectations.

Agreed. I sat with my college student kids in the student section for the last home game. When the students finally woke up at the end of the game, they had a blast. This is how it should be. CWW makes me 20 again.

Where in that letter did you read Wade saying “if we don’t make the final four it’ll be a failure?” Again with your hype lies. It was a letter thanking the fans not a shred of hype in there. And more lies about liking Wade, you hate him you want him to fail, every single post you make you take shots at him. You even stooped so low as to say his thank you letter was disingenuous, without any proof as usual you’re throwing yet another low blow at Wade. You’re a disgrace go join the Nevada fan board so you can cheer on your hero where he’s a glorified cheerleader more than a coach. Stop pretending to be an LSU fan.

I'm talking about hype from some of the fans (in my post on this thread). I wasn't referring to Wade. I reread my post, and it was not clear I was referring to posters here (several of whom made statements about "final four or failure").
I went back and made an edit to make it clear I wasn't talking about Wade's big talk.
