Shea said weeks ago all the rumors were coming from the enemies doing negative recruiting. Nothing more.
I love the fact that this got done now and Stevens, Delpit, Vincent, etc can stop having any doubt if there was any

Wonder how the Bama coaching staff will try their negative recruiting now. That is where all the rumors where coming from anyways. They were selling that to JaCoby Stevens.

You won't really know that much until about mid-way through next year. Re-signing coaches and getting recruits to re-commit that Les already had doesn't really mean much. Although I'm pretty pumped about Canada. :fingers and toes crossed:

This is great news. I love that they got it done and made it public now. Part of the negativity and apprehension last week was over the uncertainty and the stories and rumors that floated around in the news vacuum to fill the void. The fact that two legit news items (the Tua offer and our QB commits wavering) were negative fed this. That's just human nature.
By getting the deals done and making things public, most of that negativity has dried up. Only the people who will never accept O are going to be bitching right now. Two key coaches are re-signed, the new OC hired, and our QBs commits are settled. These positive moves make negative recruiting a lot more difficult. PR battles in major college football are VERY real. It's good to see O getting the story working in his favor now.
Win the bowl game, and just let that wave carry right on over into then the close of recruiting season.

Corey Raymond is a good recruiter but Ron Cooper was a better db coach congrats on the contract though
