Just curious, but why didn't Coach O's sons play at LSU? I understand Coach's history with McNeese, but that was in the 80's. I find it odd both kids went to McNeese. Parker was a receiver for two years and will become a student coach this year for McNeese and Cody is the QB.

But why not play for their dad?

If they were at LSU, they’d be sitting on the bench

At the time when his sons started college if he would have given them a scholarship to come to LSU this board would have crucified O. He was already getting heat for hiring all of his friends as coaches that had years of coaching experience.

Also they went to McNeese not Alabama so maybe they wanted to go some place that they would actually be able to play.

But wouldn't you still want to play for your dad? I've seen many college football coaches have their sons play on their teams, regardless if they were 1st string or practice squad players.

The same reason Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton didn't make their brother's Secretary of State.

I've also seen plenty get sent off elsewhere to play for somebody else.

And maybe they wanted to actually play college football, and not just be a practice dummy who only dressed out for home games. Why can't you comprehend that McNeese and LSU aren't even in the same stratosphere? Maybe if they would have gone to almost any other power 5 school you'd have a valid argument, but you don't, so stop.

I went to high school and graduated with the twins. Parker was the football player making highlight reel 1 handed catches, but dealt with concussions throughout. Cody played tennis until our senior year and then played QB our senior year

I'm surprised you couldn't figure this one out before you stop asking the question, and hitting submit.

I think the real question is do they join his step child as analysts after their eligibility is exhausted.

Why didn’t Drew Bianco go play for his dad at Ole Miss instead of coming to LSU?

I have seen his sons together in the past few weeks. They do not look anything close to being LSU football players. Plenty athletic, they are just small.

I'll take Chase and Jefferson, nothing against Parker though

Exactly....so play for the P5 school your dad coaches at (no scholarship required because your family can afford for you to go to LSU) and get a national championship or go to a Div. II school just to say "I played football". So why can't you comprehend that McNeese and LSU aren't even in the same stratosphere?
