They won't lose credibility in "their" minds. That group will never admit they were wrong and will come back with "excuses" why we did well in spite of O. Watch. I'm not even having discussions with that group. Also, be Leary of the posters that "try" to sound objective, but can be found in most threads buddying up with the worst and most negative posters on the board. One in particular

9/10 games we won it was stellar
You could even argue that while statistically not great vs UCF, given the players we had out it was unbelievable in that game.
First 9 wins we gave up 13.4 points a game
Only gave up 25 to UCF and that includes a field goal on the muffed punt in FG range.

Lsu total defense finished 25th in nation last year. What's more, our run defense was much worse than that. Hell, we gave up almost a yard more per play on the run than a&m. I'm optimistic this year will be much better.

Certainly not the pulse, not sureabout you. Not hard to figure out Ricky, etc. That said, people do read the board and not be signed up.

Already admitted that I was wrong more times than I could count that Coach O didn't belong at a P5 school and that he was gonna run the program into the ground. Also apologized for not giving him the chance he deserved when he got the job. But, that's not enough for some people.

Our defensive ranking was drastically altered by 1 game which was a rarity and an outlier of our overall team performance.
Sans a 74 point game in 7 OTs were a top 10 Defense this year
In games we won were averaged in 300 yards and 16 points allowed.
Which includes a bowl game where we were playing 5th string DBs.

I was during the 2017 season and I changed my stance. Just giving an example that people can change their minds and have no problem admitting that they're wrong. This is about LSU and winning football games. I could take O or leave him at this point. If he wins that's great, if he loses then find a new coach. It's pretty simple.
