We need to win the games we're supposed to convincingly and be competitive/Win against Bama and the SEC Championship.

Does he need to win or at least tie for first place in the SEC West?

I don't think that there's much he can do short of running the table and claiming a NC to win a certain segment of the so-called fanbase over but the team is set up nicely for a good run this season.

We must beat Bama anything else is unacceptable, 9 years not beating them and not competing for an NC in any fashion. IDGAF about the chicken nugget bowl beat Bama go to the playoffs lose to Bama again and I feel its time to clean house and start a culture change.

If you’re going to let all the mean ole nega tigers live in your head you might want to charge rent.

Not practical to expect him to beat Bama no more than the times those who have beaten them have. If he can get to .500 vs Bama that will be amazing. Heck besides Clemson who has beaten them more than twice since 2016?? NO ONE IN SEC for sure. Aubie averages a win vs them every three to four years. UGA in all reality hasn't beaten them since Saban's first year and have lost four straight. So heck if O can beat them every other year or second year that will be an accomplishment as long as their current and regime and machine is in place.

Eventually he will have to beat Bama. But he needs to have the pieces. He is getting those as we speak. 10 wins or more is possible this year. Just has to avoid a big drop off in 2020, which IMHO there will be a drop off. Then there should be an upswing in 2021. From there on anything less than 9 wins would be considered disappointing.

Yep, not worth it. I'd rather ridicule them and play with their minds when I am in a mood. Or just ignore them:)>

2016??

We have not beaten them since 2007. That is not competitive in the conference and unacceptable for a school with resources of LSU.

What were the records of the two HC's that proceeded him? Has he improved the winning percentage? Has he won any SEC W or SEC Championships?

I was talking about the fact that since 2016 only one team has beaten them more than once - Clemson. Or maybe I did not word it right? BTW, the last time we beaten them was 2011, not 2007.

Anyway yes, we should have beaten them in 2012, 2014 and had their offense befuddled in 2016 up until mid fourth quarter. We have a pulse on offense we beat them in 2016 with how our D played against them.

Built in excuses until 2021 and then a standard of no less than 9 wins for Ed Orgeron moving forward.

What a fricking joke.

as long as we keep improving I give him an A. Win the SEC and Beat Bama and playoffs and he gets an A+ and a contract ext and a raise to at least $6 mill per year, but that really seems a long shot to me. If the team looks better then every thing else is gravy.

Let's keep it real for once
