Again?
2016 was a team that returned 18 starters.
2017 was a team that was 6th in team talent on 247.
Lsu didn’t drive off a cliff. This wasn’t a rebuild. If this was a rebuild , then O would not have been the guy that should have been hired. O was hired for continuity ,not for a rebuild

Miles never faced sec teams with losing records?

his overall record is worse.
you're equating an 11 year stretch during the most dominant era of sec football to a 1 season era where the sec has been bad.
4 of our sec wins came against teams that lost at least 5 games.
there is a reason college record books use a minimum prerequisite.
O is 1-4 against sec teams finishing the season ranked.

In his glory days, it was, 05' 06, 07. Alabama changed that in 08.
what? the best era of sec football was 2006 -2012.
4 different sec programs won a national title.

Florida has been irrelevant since 10', as has the East.
for sure

this season is one of the worst sec seasons in over a decade.
we faced 2 sec teams with a conf record above .500.

You're putting way too much stock into this.
You expect him to predict 3 losses and a return to the citrus bowl in a private post game speech with his team where he's trying to recruit juniors to return for their senior seasons?

So he’s a liar?
It’s an interesting thing how Orgeron’s words are interpreted and the latitude he is given from a certain segment of the fanbase.

coaches that thinks its a rebuild dont usually boast about making the playoffs because fans will bold you to that and bash for underachieving.
how many coaches last year claimed they would be a playoff team?
no one mentioned any kind of rebuild until our 1st 2 losses.

no but if he thinks its actually a rebuild he doesnt publicly state that we were going to the playoffs. or he should be smart enough to know not to say it.

WTF was it that hard to understand? I was giving CEO and CLM winning percentages while at LSU vs SEC opponents.
Okay. I still don't see where you came up with a .714 winning percentage for Orgeron.
These are teams he has faced as the head coach at LSU.
2016 season:
Florida: 6-2
Missouri: 2-6
Alabama: 8-0
Arkansas: 3-5
Ole Miss: 2-6
Texas A&M: 4-4
Those teams complied a record of 25 wins and 23 losses. That's a winning percentage of .521
2017 season:
Florida: 3-5
Tennessee: 0-8
Alabama: 7-1
Auburn: 7-1
Arkansas: 1-7
Miss. State: 4-4
Ole Miss: 3-5
Texas A&M: 4-4
Those teams compiled a record of 29 wins and 35 losses. That's a winning percentage of .453
Combine the two years and you get a won/loss record of 54-58. That's a winning percentage of .482
When I checked Miles winning percentage, I came up with the same percentage you did, .689
One of us is making a mistake. That's why the numbers in your post confuse me.

CEO winning percentage is 71% vs sec teams while at LSU and Miles is 69%

Great point about most regular season wins and SEC wins since 2012. How quickly people forget that the program was in a steady decline and downward glide path under Miles. Helluva job by 1st year HC O.

After Les Miles you have to start at the bottom.

how quickly people like YOU forget this program was not in a decline in september, but a straight up nosedive. and now, people such as yourself want to give up credit for beating auburn, losing to bama by 14, and beating up on SEC teams either coached by an interim or who have since fired their coach.

our wins this year
Chattanooga- 8 losses
byu- 9 losses
Syracuse-8 losses
Florida- 7 losses
tenn- 8 losses
a&m -5 losses
ole miss-6 losses
arkansas- 8 losses
auburn 3 losses
just 18 months ago wins against crap teams were deemed meaningless.

a very self-serving timeframe

Historic losses to State and Troy, while in a historically bad year for the SEC where more than half the SEC schools we played are in the process of replacing coaches.
Yay, great fricking job O.

This was not the narrative when it was time to get rid of Miles. How quickly the argument shifts.

So if it was Miles coaching this team would you be saying the same about him... same record and same losses....

The Les hate never stops. You'll fellate Coach O because not doing so would indicate a modicum of respect for Les Miles.
