Coach O suggested moving Kirklin to DB in emergency situations. It seems last Saturday was the emergency. Can't see he would have done worse than Evans and Ward. Why wait on this speedster for emergency. Play him 5 or 6 times a game to see if he pans out. He didn't sniff the field on offense. couldn't hurt to try. Our Dbs were gassed.

Lol, unfortunately this is a mindset shared by many on this site. Mr. Williams, it might be a little more complicated at this level than putting him in 5 or 6 times and seeing if he pans out.

Kirklin to DB

How'd that work out last time we tried it?

Neither Evans nor Ward were expected to play. Evans hadn't had much practice time and Ward had surgery 10 days before the game and only played out of necessity. Plus everyone was playing out of position basically.

That said, WR is pretty deep so it couldn't hurt to get JK some practice there (again) - but he did get in and make a few catches Saturday at WR.

Too early to panic and imo. They will improve and with Stingley back they will be in the positions they practiced at.

He was admirable for his play against UCF at DB but apparently he either doesn't want to play DB or the staff feels he's a better wr.
As for not sniffing the field offensively, he caught a pass Saturday. Does not compute.

Had 1 catch for 12 yards.

I think his future is at WR. If it were at CB, he would have stuck there. I’m all about doing what’s best for the team, but at some point, you gotta quit flipping him back and forth to the other side of the ball. Commit to a position and let him try to develop.

I’m not a fan of that idea personally but he couldn’t be worse than Evans.

Evans is too slow to play at this level

The last time we tried it we just had some studs ahead of him so we never got to see him play story of his career at LSU
