He has made LSU a program for quitters. Screw that. Woodward do your job.

Agree. Something is really wrong in this program. Exact same thing happened at Ole Miss when O failed. Thought last year O had changed...... obviously back to his old ways.

Agree but we just shot ourselves in the foot with a huge buyout. No way in hell we are paying that this year with all of the revenue losses.

All I want is a stable coaching staff with none of the off-season drama and obviously Ed Orgeron is not the answer

He just won a title. He gets 2021 to fix this shite show, but hiring a new DC should be out of the question. He’s proven he can’t be trusted with hires.

Then you might as well fire him now. A coach who can't be trusted to make his own hires can't be trusted period.

I agree with the latter, but he's earned the right to try and fix it. He just needs to ride or die with Pelini.

Fire a coach after arguably the best season in college football history. That’s how you get great coaches to come. Lol

Ideally we bring in some analysts or other defensive assistant to get him back on track.

I don't expect to find the defensive version of Joe Brady but that's the mindset we should have.

Then we just need to move on now. Do you really see next year being any better if we just run it back? I surely don't.

There's never going to be an ideal time to pull the rip cord, but this could be as good of a time as any. The tell will be to see how well he can keep the roster and recruiting class together these next few weeks. If we have mass decommitments and transfers after the season, we might as well rip the bandaid off.

If he does this, we'll be watching Gerry Dinardo part 2. There's no point in keeping Orgeron around if he's not going to be permitted to make staff changes to get us back on track. I think it's pretty obvious that's not going to happen with Pelini. I'm not sure how you fix anything without being allowed to fix the parts of the program that are clearly broken

Unless they can get out of the contract with cause, Orgeron isn't going anywhere.

So your next option is to see if he can fix it. Problem there is you literally can't let him fire Pelini, and for a multitude of reasons. If he's fired, and the next hire fails, you are eating Orgeron, Pelini, a new OC and new DC in contracts. Not to mention position coaches.
