I know we have talent and especially at the key positions plus we have a seasoned group in several areas like OL.

I want to believe bad. Real bad

Coach O is the question mark. Sorry but after the huge drop off from 2019, and the horrible coaching hires he allowed, there is just no reason to feel confident that he can put the immense talent to its best use to produce consistent wins

Small has no don’t had a great spring and camp so far but that’s just what it is. O always talks up a walk-on. Small will be on most special teams units this year but he’s not starting at LB.

Bama had Levi Wallace walk on and become an absolute stud as a senior on defense, it happens occasionally.

I hope this turns out to be a magical season without being completely gutted at the end.

My first experience of witnessing this I believe was Chad Lavalais

I know it is ridiculous, but I thought Logan had gone pro by now. Feels like he’s been around forever. Made my day knowing he’s still around

There was this kid who was a “wash out” at Ohio State. Urban Meyer said he threw like a girl. He came to LSU and some said that a kid that couldn’t play at Ohio State wasn’t going to help LSU especially only 6 weeks before the season started.

Well you just never know. Lol.

max Johnson reminds him of burrow,

Speaking of the stigma of Small, and his status as a recruit, how many of you talent scouts would have been happy with Burrow as a recruit?
He wasn't highly recruited. Beat out by a QB who has been a failure in the NFL.

Does Orgeron get any credit for taking a career benchwarmer and turning him into the best NCAA QB ever. The best NCAA Champion ever?

He was a 4 star with multiple P5 offers and committed to Ohio State 9 months before signing day. So yeah, basically a walk on or lightly recruited, late add to their class.

Lavalais signed with LSU three times before qualifying, played a lot and made a few starts as a freshman, then started nearly every game after that.

This could be a magical season, but it all comes down to quarterback play.

So, basically the same refrain since 2000. Every year since Dinardo left, it has all come down to quarterback play. Under Dinardo (& Tepper) & Curly, no quarterback could have helped.

This means the most to me. Young, hungry Coordinators ready to surprise everyone.

Possibly, but give him his due. He has been here 5 years and maybe he just knows how to play the position better than some of the other higher ranked guys. If he starts next to Bugg and Jones Jr., and gets 7 tackles per game, 1 each hurries and TFL and a sack now and then, then so be it

Is Liam Shanahan still getting pushed into the backfield after the snap? Hope he got stronger this offseason because Cushenberry to Shanahan was probably the biggest free fall of any position from 2019 to 2020.
