And to a point, it isnt Miles and Os fault that is how the media portrays them. But, I lay fault on them and LSU for buying in to it and hyping it up even more.

Quirky is ok, especially if you are a proven winner.
Stupid is never ok.
Les got away with quirky for a while, but it didn't wear well after a while, because he started losing big games or losing is a spectacular manner.
But remember, the press can go only so far in how they depict a person in an interview. For the most part, how the person comes off is up to him. More often than not, its real.

It's called 'cutting carbs'. I've known several people that eat lots of gumbo lose weight doing that. How's it dumb if it works?

And wouldn't it make teams look even more stupid if they actually lose to our "dumb coonass" of a coach? I had a blast making fun of my Ole Miss buddy after O' kicked their asses! It made it even more enjoyable.

Not his favorite flavor of grass, not doing an actual timepiece on gameday dedicated for him, not asking him if he eats etoufe' for breakfast, and the answer being yes
