Thats the problem. You never actually talk about football or any sport. You spend your entire time on this board trying to critique my posts when you dont even know what an individual record is in cfb.

I find i funny how you can make personal attack after personal attack and then get pissed when i make a joke.

Gfy.

Miles tenure at lsu
#1 win % in lsu history
#1 ooc win % in lsu history
#7 win % IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE SEC
#1 OOC win %IN THE HISTORY OF THE SEC
As many top 5 finishes as Saban, mac ,and Dietzel combined
2 of lsu's 4 title game appearances
Most top 25,top 15,top 10,top 5,top 2, finishes in lsu history.
No program had beaten more ranked teams.
No program had been ranked in the top 25 more weeks.

He has 7 of lsu's 28 top 15 finishes.
Even his last 5 years everyone loves to bitch about has a better win loss record than Saban's tenure at lsu.
He achieved the above great numbers during the most dominant era of sec football ever.

You can question the level of his coaching. IN NO WAY CAN YOU QUESTION HIS SUCCESS AS HC.

And no program will touch him? He has been mentioned at 2 p5 program already and he is 63. He has been more successful than his predecessor at every stop.

Still not elite with what he had at his disposal. You can line up all this shite you like, but he still squandered more with more than any other LSU coach in history. Not elite by any standard you try to put forth.

They don't. To many, LSU just started playing football in the late 90's. clueless.

No one is above criticism on this board.
Fournette?
Wait until Guice gets injured and he will be dog mear also.
Coach O could win the national championship, then lose the following year, watch out.

At least they are no longer bitching about Dandy Don and Jim Hawthorne.

bullshite. He had the best tenure ever a top 15 alltime program.

Yeah he squandered talent into the best tenure in lsu history and one of the best win % in sec. Since 1932 only 6 sec coaches have won at a higher rate.
quote:

Not elite by any standard you try to put forth.

Your opinion doesnt outweigh facts.facts prove he is the most successful coach in lsu history and one of the most successful coaches in sec history.
You act like his achievements wpuldnt have been better if he wasnt coaching against the nest coach in cfb.

If miles' tenure WAS NOT elite, then no tenure in lsu history was elite.
Like i said, his level of success cant be argued against.
If you want to say he wasnt a good coach then fine, but his tenure brought lsu to heights we had never been to before.

These are facts.....
quote:

1 win % in lsu history
#1 ooc win % in lsu history
#7 win % IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE SEC
#1 OOC win %IN THE HISTORY OF THE SEC
As many top 5 finishes as Saban, mac ,and Dietzel combined

If you dont think those accomplishments are elite then no lsu accomplishments can be elite.
Its amazing how a hc can have the best tenure in lsu history and have posters say his tenure wasnt elite.

quote:

Its the best tenure in school history.

If Miles' tenure wasnt elite, then whose tenure was?

Still not convinced Rick...Miles was lucky enough to overcome his lack of coaching prowess by talent and more fortunate events than I have time or interest to list.

Again, im not saying miles was an elite coach. Im just saying his tenure was elite.
But you're right, neither one of us is going to convince the other.

Agree to disagree.

Holy shite. Dallas saying miles tenure wasnt elite is in no way a fact. Its an opinion. FACTS show how successful he was.
I dont really expect you to know the difference between a fact and an opinion because you dont know the difference between a team accomplishment and an individual record.

Give Coach O a chance - He did a fantastic job this year considering he did not have his staff in place - Remember the team did not go through last spring or this fall with him as the head coach - I am behind Coach O and whoever is on the coaching staff next year - Let's get ready for the Citrus Bowl and then things will begin to fall into place

He lost to every team with a pulse.
He lost to a 14 point underdog at home while they were missing tons of defensive starters.
Im still waiting on one of you Orgeron posters to tell me what he actually did during interim! We know he didnt run the offense or the defense. He didnt run the special teams.

Or the players he had were overrated? At some point, coaching can't be blamed. Players have to go perform. Period. No amount of QB coaching / QB whispering are going to make Harris not throw the most AWFUL INT in football history against Wisconsin. Our O-Line had been suspect all year long. That wasn't on Miles.

It's not the coaches fault Guice tricked up the game winning play against UF. He would have walked in. People blame coach O but that was 110% Guice... and the fumbles by Jackson and Guice. That's not coaching. That's players screwing up badly.
