Yep, you've proven yourself to be so knowledgeable
Miami, ranked 8 when we played. Finished unranked with overall record of 7-6!
Auburn, ranked 8 when we played, finished unranked @ 8-5.
Georgia, #2 when we played. Finished 11-3 ...and ranked 7th. This was a legit good win.
UCF #8 when we played. Finished 11, but we all know that's not the case and we should be thankful we got them and not a real power 5 school with the starters we were missing
When you look at it like that, and see that we still lost top florida ...and am, I'm not seeing it.

Otherwise, he isn't doing anything different this program hasn't done the last several years.
Yeah but he is doing the same for less money. Isn't that progress.
We could afford to pay the women's BB coach more money.

What your inane post shows me is you are good at googling very selective information to make a point while not having a clue how the entire system works.
Only a very very casual fan would think recruiting is "finished"

As for the incoming class Bradford and Perry are both 4* OT prospects
Bradford is a guard not a tackle.

He is GONE. fricking get over it you babies. If he is such a great coach go be a Kansas fan dude because he will not be LSU's coach. Move on you child.
That's rich coming from someone with saban in their handle.

Is that really all that hard to do when you’re talking about a 2017 year which saw us lose to a Sun Belt conference team, take a historic body blow from Mississippi State and lose 2 other games? We actually did worse in the SEC this year as opposed to last year.
This is not about miles. It’s about LSU 5-3 in the west and being absolutely owned by Bama 63-10 in our last 3 games against them. It’s also about LSU having a O three years after a coaching change that ranks 10th in the SEC. None of that has anything to do with miles. This Miles stuff is just a smokescreen some try to use.
We had a good yr. pretty much like a lot of years since 2012. Hopefully next year we can win the west and everyone can join in the crushing it celebration

Yea because it takes an expert to know that national signing day is Feb 6th every year.
I've corrected myself a million times in that I meant the individual player rankings are finished, as in the finished player rankings dropped LSU to 7.
Sosher is not guaranteed. Lee probably is. The vast majority of players signed on early signing day, so the traditional craziness that happens on nsd isn't that crazy anymore... but I'm sure you knew this... in your infinite wisdom that's now responded to me in multiple threads about one misworded post. You must be a cognitive powerhouse.

Wrong.
You posted that the team rankings were finished and LSU finished 7th.

By your logic pocic and clapp are EdO draftees.
Gordon was a TE and Ferguson a snapper, neither was a regular Olineman at LSU. Tragic as it was Collins was an UFA.
The difference in the record setting '16 "O" after the coaching change was due to different offensive philosophy.

Actually is was the awful defenses we faced.
But why split hairs?

Isn't that weird?
5-3 in the SEC essentially got one guy fired. 5-3 a couple of years later, "crushing it."
Amazing. I leave for a couple of hours to see my FIL in the hospital and come back and there are still obtuse posters all over the place completely misrepresenting what other posters are saying. Are you a member of the media or something? Nowhere did he state that O is “crushing it” based on his 5-3 SEC finish. He clearly indicated that he was talking about the big picture. Disagree with that, fine. I wouldn’t have chosen the words “crushing it” either. But at least have the intellectual honesty to debate what he actually said instead of applying your own meaning, which he clearly did NOT indicate, to his statement in such a blatantly false manner.
Here is what OP stated...

Great hires.
Great recruiting.
Helluva season.
The rebirth of Tiger football is upon us. The dip into just above average was short.
Geaux Tigers!!!!
On second thought, I guess it’s not all that amazing. It is the rant after all. Carry on clowns.

quote:I'll give you Clapp, but Pocic played under Cameron's offseason tutelage and scheme in 2016. I didn't include '05 draftee Wilkerson and not disingenuous.

quote:Dillon listed as OL, and LS do block. I qualify UDFAs as "in the NFL" since many have had longer careers than draftees.

Point being Miles put many more OL in the NFL than you suggest.
quote:The difference was that philosophy failed vs the 2 legit defenses it faced, same as Cameron's, and ran all over some really bad rush defenses.

ETA: Wilkerson not Whitworth the '06 draftee.

Scott rushes for about 90 yards in the first half...then gets maybe 2 carries in the 2nd half...great coaching!
Arkansas scored again...but hey we were undefeated in regulation

LSU offenses faced some pretty crappy defenses over the previous few years and didn't come close to setting the records steve e did at end of '18 season.
Les hadn't coached a game yet for LSU when the '05 draft took place.
Ask any LSU fan one of miles biggest failures in recruiting and answer would be, signing OT prospects.
