E delivered that as much as O did.

Damn right! And THAT is a big deal in the coaching biz.

too big a deal

its why we got the 2018 E offense and the 2016 Cam Cameron offense.

putting comfort with a coach ahead of quality is a weakness.

At least it is Os job to hire coordinators.

Its not the OC's job to hire someone else to run the offense.

Which would you rather have?

A team where no one wavered from their strictly defined job descriptions?

Or the highest scoring offense in the nation?

I wouldn't care how they do it.

Just Win, Baby.

Kind of like hiring a painter to paint your house, only to find out that he's hired another painter to do it under his supervision...but it turned out great.

Yeah...you're obviously happy with the result but it does beg the question as to why you hired the first guy if it wasn't to do what the second guy just did.

Someone that can handle giving the credit where it is due.

You can't get into an argument about how they do it, and then pull the "it doesn't matter how they do it"

I mean realistically i don't care

I don't want E fired. No real practical issues at this point.

Like i said, this is just sports arguing, a noble pursuit.

only i am going to have to pay both painters, and the first painter kind fricked up my house the first time he painted it.

ITs a great metaphor because yeah going forward hey my house is really well painted.

BUt i am not giving the first painter a 5* review

In the past 3 years, how many playoff contending programs DID NOT have Co-OC's. Serious question. I don't know the answer.

Oregon in 2014, Alabama every year 2014-2016, Washington when they made it. OU when Riley was the OC. Notre Dame in 2018. Georgia in 2017.

Like i said, practically there is no reason not to keep the arrangement going

but there is a reason Tom Herman got a HCing job an Ed Warinner is an OL coach at Michigan now.

Has anyone realistically suggested blowing it up, putting Steve out to pasture, and anointing Brady full time OC? I think nearly everyone is cool with keeping whatever seems to be working now...

But...if we WERE to change...then who we keep in place is a complete no brainer.

IF ITS NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT

AND IF IT WAS BROKEN MAKE SURE YOU GIVE CREDIT TO THE GUY WHO BROKE IT IF HE FINDS SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX IT

Yep, most sheep are terrified of anything outside the box of orthodoxy. Just win, the opinions here are worthless.

wrong, you hired a legit contractor who employed the professional painter to paint your house

Wouldn't O be the contractor?

E the Sub and Brady the Sub's Sub

I don't hire a contractor to do every job. YOu hire them to find people who can

You do expect those subcontractors to be able to do the job they are subcontracted to do.

A legit contractor that was self-admittedly unable to do the job and had to sub out the work.

I'm not sure you understand either coaches or contractors with this analogy.
