Coach O-his final decision on hires...

I know everyone in here says Coach O would not be crap without Brady, Aranda, and Joe Burrow...well, it was Coach O who hired Brady, decided to keep Aranda as his DC, and decided to give Burrow a chance fully understanding he needed an experienced QB-he evaluated Burrow and gave him a shot. That's what a good coach does, it's what a good manager does in the business world-hire good people to get the job done...as for x's and o's, I am not in the film room with them-I am not at practice-none of us in here are.

The problem is those results can't be consistently replicated. And he has done a poor job of replacing vacancies.

Bill Busch recruited and brought Burrow for starters. Dave Aranda is one of the best defensive minds in the game and O would have never fired him. Also Steve Esminger noticed Brady and begged O to hire him... fail much?

Agree with all of this. Throw in Greg McMahon too. He's been awesome.
Other than that, what final decisions are you happy with as of right now?
Eta: I would say that it's actually more impressive that Orgeron was ABLE to keep Aranda twice vs deciding to keep him.

Joe Alleva forced Orgeron to keep Aranda. Remember when they were all watching film together with Canada because Orgeron is a petulant child that couldn’t be professional with his OC? So Alleva put him in timeout like a child?

I dont know how to be a head coach in college football but I know enough to keep Aranda on staff esp when I have been working along side him and witness ing the defense be good. Esp if I know I dont know how to be a DC either.

I get it so for the rest of this week-I am not going to comment on Coach O getting fired-I will do what I have always done-evaluate each week based on the game. As for now, the team is the team and the coaches are the coaches-and I am a true fan who for now is 100% behind all of them...yes, I am disappointed over the UCLA game...but that has to be put in the past-bitching and moaning isn't going to change the result!

I think most LSU fans think like I do. I’m happy to give O credit for the National Title. But, with that credit for winning the title, comes the blame for going 5-6 post title.
O is the perfect case study on how NOT to handle success. Everything he’s done post championship has been an absolute train wreck.
O will go down in college football history as one of the biggest coaching failures after winning a National Title.
