Gold/white/gold is the iconic LSU look. Nobody wants to see those hideous purple jerseys.

Agreed, even the tapered version we used to trot out and some recruits use for pictures is better. I hate the purple facemask as well, go back to grey it matches better and while we’re at it use the thinner pant stripes from the 80s it’s looked much better than this shitty bulky version of today.

Yes we do want to see the GPG uniforms mow often. Not saying every home game, just more than once every two or three years. Get rid of the all white crap those are hideous.

LSU has great branding, and branding is super important in this era, and you have to be very careful when making changes to your brand. People that come up with these gimmicky uniforms don't know a damn thing about branding. It's all about selling more stuff, but it's a poor long term strategy.
Ask the Miami Dolphins. They ruined one of the best looks in the NFL, and their fans hate it.
Our uniform is part of that. A huge part, because of its unique colors and styling. That includes the shoulder stripe on the jersey. Don't frick with it unless you're going to lengthen it a little.
UCLA went to the shorter stripe like ours because apparently making the longer stripe was a manufacturing issue.
The pants should always be gold, and most of the time, the jersey should be white. I'm ok with the purple jersey as an alternate. It's been around long enough to be considered part of our traditional look.
