Up by 20 points with 4 minutes to go. Why not bring in players off the bench to get some PT? Allow your starters some rest.

Majority of our guys that play are inexperienced and need to learn too. Tough luck for the bench, just the way it is when you play a lot of underclassmen.

Stupid point. You can't practically get rid of bus rides or meaningful minutes. You can get rid of garbage time minutes. His point was that you could limit your risk without it costing you anything except margin of victory.

It's only stupid if you reduce the point by myopia to the point where it loses all meaning. Because someone could get hurt is not a good reason to do something in basketball. Name the last LSU player to get hurt in "garbage time" in a basketball game? Name the last SEC player. Name the last household NCAA name to be hurt in that circumstance? It is a football mentality brought to basketball that doesn't make sense.

Malone had some solid minutes in relief.

I don't know what game you were watching but Malone put the brakes on the offense and was out of position multiple times on defense. Bridgewater needs more minutes in my opinion. 5+Grey+Bridgewater.

Put Bridgewater at the 4 and move Martin to the 3 (his future NBA position) and sit Patterson or Quarter man for a few minutes a game. Bridgewater gives quality minutes on both ends when he is on the court.

We've lost games like this before. Right now is the time to secure a win no matter what.

JJ and everyone who has watched the games this year realizes LSU has six SEC type players. Darcy is the next guy and although he is better than Odo and Elbert, that is not saying much....Bridgewater and Epps...really. I hope all these guys improve and perhaps they can, but at this point they rarely contribute much...Darcy and Bridgewater have had a game or two.

LSU has three regular season games left and then the tournaments. I still think the Tigers need at least three more wins to secure their goal. If the the 7th thru 10th could make a significant contribution...they would have at this point.

Main reason I can see why is to make a statement to get into the tournament

Why don't we sell seats on the bench? And game uniforms? And the right to participate in pre-game warmups? With so many luxury cars along fraternity row, surely this a possible revenue source for TAF to investigate. As little as the bench played in one of our few laughers, no one would notice.
