Thought he did a pretty good job today, but really in a tough spot.

He will take the blame at some point if the team loses and will get very little credit if we win it all.

Hope he can take them a few more rounds to help build the resume.

Too much freelancing, they played like the team did early in the year when they struggled. Need to move the ball, make the extra pass. That didnt happen today

There was one possession when Mays ended up hitting a 3 that might have been their best possession all year. Then they started jacking up contested 3s.

I don’t foresee anyone blaming him for anything

Not from me. Alleva gets all the blame.

He'll get a job somewhere else. No second half adjustments.

Watching naz and EW take the ball down the court provided me a little extra entertainment during the game

The one thing that will kill this team is rebounding. And when I say kill them I mean the difference between winning comfortably and losing a game at the buzzer because of giving the other team extra possessions.

Look at the full game highlights from today’s game in the “recent LSU news” section at the bottom of the page and focus just on rebounding and how every LSU player watches the shot instead of putting a body on the closest guy. Yes, we won the rebounding today but we use athleticism most of the time, not fundamental techniques.

Seems to me like a good opportunity for him to earn a head coach job somewhere if he can lead the team on a deep run

B has to do better with adjustments and rotation.

The first round game of the tourney is always a free for all...don’t take anything from this game other than we won. There are countless Final Four teams who barely made it past their 1st round game.

He’s in the tournament with arguably the most talented team.

He’s 3 games away from immortality. If they lose he gets no blame.

Alleva has earned all the blame, preemptively.

Which is dumb, all 3 Florida games played out about the same. In fact, minus the foul discrepancy in game 3 we have the best result of the 3 games.

Naw, no reasonable person will blame him for anything. It is actually easier to operate when people have low expectations of you. He just has to go out there with the second most talented team in the tournament and try his best to get some wins.

If we lose to Duke by one point, there will be people on this board blaming him. Now reasonable people won’t be, but this board isn’t always flooded with reasonable people.
