Coach Aranda has said that this is his best front 7
Posted by rickyh on 7/28/18 at 12:22 am753
If and that is still a big if, we get our suspended corner. would that change from front 7 to the entire defense. How much more can he put in his game plan if he has two lock down corners? This is big. Real big. Not saying that we still wouldn't be fine. But, you can't replace the difference that two corners that you can leave on an island can be. Defense wins championships. And with a good quarterback, the sky is the limit on offense.

We are the surprise team of college football this year. Perfect storm brewing in Louisiana. Every media and pundit down on the Tigers this year, barely giving us enough love to even make a bowl game! We have a grad transfer QB who seems to be a stud and a high IQ guy behind center, and he has a ton of weapons to throw the ball too, maybe the deepest and most talented WR group we’ve ever had depth wise. we have one of the best front 7s we’ve ever fielded, and a really good secondary that could be off the charts if Fulton is indeed added. This team is comin, and they will turn some heads game 1! I’m so glad we get Miami in Arlington game 1 on a Sunday too, all eyes will be on us and we will put them all on notice right away!

Just remember we all felt this way when we opened up against Wisconsin.

This defense is way better than the defense that opened with Wisconsin.

Best offseason n years especially if Fulton gets cleared. We need Delucus to live up to his rec ranking of a top 10 Tackle and/or Charles, Delucus, Jonah & Magee to step up. At Wr if Marshall is 100% he’s a game changer along with Chase. Wr depth is good but if they catch on early we become the best n Sec. no joke they are both that talented. Sold on Burrow not worried there. And last but not least is we need Chris Curry to be ready. His Hudl profile says just under 4.5 40? If this is accurate I definitely can’t wait to see him tote the rock. If all the above is what we want then we only see 3 potential losses on our schedule. Bama Uga and ...
State! Not AU like most expect. Their oline won’t handle our front 7 and Pettway isn’t K. Johnson. We will pin ears back and Stidham will be on the ground all nt. I think Carlson (k) is gone. I hope so. Anyway if we just win 1 of the 3 above were 10-2!

Well he was a 5* and #2 cb out of HS. KF has 2 years n the program with Aranda & Raymond arguably among the best at their craft in CFB. And LSU coaches who have said he is the best corner in the country. And that’s after Greedy had the season he did last year. LSU always produces lock down corners. He and greedy will continue that tradition

False.
Some of us remember Miles' struggles against the likes of Iowa while demolishing every ACC team not named Clemson. I had the Wisconsin game as a tossup, but would have this Miami game as a comfortable W if Miles were still coaching.

That was under Les Miles when he basically said frick you to Alleva, the fan base, TAF and anyone involved in trying to move LSU into a 21st century offense. He made ZERO changes from the previous year in offensive scheme and gave an EXTENSION to Cam Cameron. Starting off that season against Wisconsin with that same shite hard headed offensive gameplan without any ability to adapt to what the defense gave you was about as frustrating as I'd ever been in any sport at any level.

What makes you people think Fulton is a lockdown corner???
The same reason people think you're a bitch... just because.

No, actually. We didn’t. We still had stubborn bull coach running caveman offense with deer-in-headlights QB who overthrew receivers by a mile.

Fulton is a big deal. Then K. Joseph can be used as the corner/safety hybrid he is, and depth at corner is no longer an issue.
As stated previously, Aranda can do a lot more with calling his defense too.
Defense would have no holes.
Pundits are sleeping on this team. Shelvin is a stud people have forgotten about too.
The offensive concerns I understand...especially the lack of an elite running back. Hopefully Burrow is the stud I think he is, and the offense can have the kind of balance that would take pressure off the backs.
I’m bullish on LSU this year unless they get another rash of injuries.

Don't you think all these people know everything you just stated? There is a reason LSU is being picked so low.

We haven’t had this depth in awhile and now we do. It’s so many unproven stars on this team K.Chaisson, N. Farrell, Eric Monroe, K. Fulton, T. Shelvin. The list goes on and on

Yea but this team is gonna be dominant on defense. Ed has told us that. If he's wrong, then it's Aranda's fault and Ed just needs more time.
