I'm actually fine with it for SE to finish out his contract.

But I think the plan needs to be to put the coOC in charge and the "co" part just be for formalities.

Then after next year, the "co" is taken out.

This administration threw optics out the window when they hired Ed Orgeron.

So freaking true. If it were about optics then Mr. Ed would NOT be the HC. Still laughing...

I bet whoever we hire we will find a way to think they are the best hire ever until September.

Burrow is on track to pass for over 2500 yards and 13 TD. Not terrible stats for a first year qb playing in the SEC.

Ehh it’s still very good at all in modern college football.

Wasn't Jerry Sullivan passing OC this season?

Do we currently have an "assistant head coach"?

If not, that would be a nice "promotion" for Ensminger, who would then be too busy with his new duties to handle the OC gig. He could concentrate on coaching a position and being AHC. Of course, someone would have to be brought in as OC.

We already have co-offensive coordinators with Sullivan in the box is just not official.

It's not even a matter of if the powers that be would let Orgeron fire Ensminger. He doesn't want to fire him. O thinks it's the players not executing his offense

The double benefit for hiring a real OC is of course better production AND maybe recruiting decent QB's. Something that has been our Achilles heel along with OT's for quite a few years now.

Why is it ok to be shut out by Bama as a minor consequence? This offense struggled against Arkansas for gosh sake and against every really good defense we played except Georgia.
It is one of the worst offenses in the country in converting TD in the red zone. 3rd down conversion bad as well. The oline has consistently under performed partly because the offense is so predictable. WR's drop passes consistently and Burrow takes too many sacks because he holds on to the ball too long. There is a lot to fix. So who is going to fix it next year when we have most of the talent returning plus 2 great backs coming in.

Count on plenty more where that came from if Mr. Ed does not make a change at OC. He needs to hand the offense to someone who can make things happen because Ensminger cannot. He does that and LSU has a chance. Does it not and he will be gone soon.

We shouldnt be settling....WE all know Bama doesnt settle
Too many MA's (Mediocrity Acceptors) in the fan base.

They're all willing to "settle" for 8-9 wins a year and no SEC West/SEC Championships. Just have a mediocre "Winning Season" and they're all satiated and satisfied.

Typical "Louisiana" mentality. Mediocrity Reigns Supreme. Bon Temps Rouler!
