Anyone who likes this move probably also liked Orgeron getting the HC job. It’s more emotional than logical.

Neither had the resume to get a job if this magnitude if we’re being intellectually honest about it. LSU should never be a learn-on-the-job place especially for critical positions such as HC and Coordinators.

Maybe there’s upside here, but there’s far more downside. That’s just objectively true

Ok, I can see my thread triggered some people. It’s just an opinion that I hope I’m wrong about. Please don’t confuse that with my hope that it will work.

So Hankton already has Tiger nation feeling that he was thrown a bone, and that he is not REALLY the OC. I’m sure he’s excited that that will carry over to the locker room.

What do players under Dan Lanning and Glen Schumann tell you?

It would definitely be a mistake, unless Kelly made it clear where each of them had supremacy. Of course the guy designing and calling the plays would be the real OC.

What I will be looking for is if sloan/hankton add any elements to the offense.

Denbrock was very vanilla. He was able to get away with that with jd5 as his qb.
