it's just part of scheduling. You can't play that Oregon, West Virginia, etc schedule we had in 2011 every year.

There are plenty of "mid major" teams that could be a little more competitive.

Or what?
Well look at this season as an example. Under-performing on many levels.

The performance in the Furman game cost us the Ole Miss and Georgia games.

Not at all what I said. Here is what I said.

Not setting appropriate and challenging goals for players for each contest will always lead to apathy.

He still needs to do a much better job challenging his players and providing a set of metrics to be assessed for each player game to game.

You don't know much about the week to week things that go on during the season. Its up and down. Its human nature. No need for any extra motivation . ITS BAMA week. I am more worried about EXECUTION of what they did in prep for Bama.

The sad thing is it isn't about being motivated. You can understand less motivation for a Furman or Ole Miss than versus Bama. It's that it is all or nothing with Les' teams. There is literally no excuse for LSU to have lost to Ole Miss. There is no excuse for them to not be ready or at least somewhat hyped up just because of some injuries.

Fact is Les isn't as good as some LSU fans pine for others to believe he is, and simply he's never going to be as good as people expect or his salary dictates.

People get upset when others reference 1/9/2012, but that is exactly when Les lost any shot of this program remaining a power. To lose the way they did and to embarrass the university on such a big stage and ruin what was a great season while handing a national title to an arch rival in Bama is something I don't think many including players/prospects will be able to ever completely get over.

Tell that to the rest of the SEC and until they agree to it, LSU would be crazy to not schedule as the other SEC programs schedule.

As it is, I don't see many SEC schools taking on WVU twice, Washington twice, NC, Oregon, TCU, and Wisconsin twice.

With the strength found within the SEC in the last 8 yrs or so, there is no need to seek out much more in the way of OOC teams than we already have played.

Well the Negatigers constantly compare everything LSU/Miles do to Bama/Saban, why can't the Positigers do the same?

EXACTLY.......yet as season ticket holders we get charged the same damn price for these shite teams. Next year, I guess we will only get up for 2 of the home games.
If you're going to schedule patsy's anyway, then bring on Tulane and USL. They have improved under their current head coaches and LSU fans hate both of their fan bases. (And vice versa) Bring them in every year with one other "Respectable" OOC school. I'm not interested in seeing Furman, Towson, Idaho, UAB or Kent State in Tacky Stadium.

L O U I S I A N A Ramblin Acadians and "The Slime", yes indeed.

The problem with this quote is it was one week after LSU lost and Les said it was because he didn't prepare the team. He then promised he would do better.

Before the season tons of you were talking about how hard our schedule is, it isn't fair, etc... Now all I see is complaints about scheduling poor teams. Make up your damn minds.

They did do better. Mett threw 2 picks instead of 3 and the d held furman to under 200 yds.

Les is just trying to take the blame, but i cant really blame him for mett turning the ball over when we should be getting points. And as many times as Beckham fielded punts, he shouldnt muff them. But those 2 turned it around and tore it up in the second half. So he obviously got something across to them.

Les doesn't make enough money to bother motivating for the lesser games, we should give him another raise
