From an Alabama student's point of view, I tried to be as classy as possible.
A lot of LSU fans came up to me after the game, shook my hand and said congratulations on Bourbon street. I responded with stuff like, "Six for the SEC!" and "You've got it next year".
Which is actually true, I honestly believe LSU will win it next year.

Well my wife didn't go in after the Nov 5 win saying Geaux Tigers...have a little respect.
Oh yeah, we don't live in a trailer park.

The Bama fans I met before and after the game were very classy. Most of the people there were just happy to have a good time in New Orleans and nobody tried to rub it in after the game.

I know two and they are both very classy and down to earth. Very respectful of our program. SECRant though is full of Gump douche bags.

Didn't really see any classlessness in NOLA. I saw some usual escalated drunken banter between fans post game, but nothing on the classless level.
For this type of game with tickets as absurd as they were you wouldn't really expect many trashy sidewalk alumni. In T-Town it can be interesting, but we're really not much different.

personally know and good friends with several bama grads and 1 who played for bear.
while all completely delusional (one remarked to a UGA fan when he found out UGA will drop bama and pick up missou: "that sucks. uga could really use a signature win for the program if they could win one in tuscaloosa."), they are all classy.
note: i do have a bama flag on my office door as i type this due to a bet (thanks miles), but i would have done the same to them.

Well, she is a teacher. She is held to a higher standard than a bunch of kids. It would not be professional for her to razz the kids, but I don't think anyone would fault her for it. It happened all the time when I was in school between Auburn and Alabama. Bama fans walk into a classroom to find a big War Eagle written on the blackboard. I had one teacher in school who chose the day after the Iron Bowl to review ratios. Every ratio was a comparison of the score, rushing yards, passing yards, etc. It was hilarious.
Having class is not about not getting a dig in at the opposing fanbase, it's about keeping the game in perspective and not letting it eat you up or make you act like an arse. It's a game. Half the fun is good-natured ribbing between fans. Taking that away in the name of "class" would make this a dull game.
That said, I do think you guys make it seven for the SEC next year, if your QB situation pans out. You will be hungry and talented. That's a deadly combination. Bama just won't have the horses...maybe.
