Would you have made this post if bianco didn’t take a couple steps in the wrong direction and cost us game 1?

That’s the difference in us being tied 1 game a piece. He’s probably not gonna play there again anyway

Taking first pitch strikes and starting the at bat behind in the count… That's coaching

Y’all fricking complain when we swing at a first pitch and now complaining that we take pitches.

Working the count is the proper way to approach. GTFO

If anything, this team is playing anti west coast ball. Bunting guys over. Manufacturing runs. SOLID DEFENSE. These are staples of west coast baseball. And we don’t do any of that well.

Oh come on...everyone knows that your playing ability is directly tied to your political affiliation, which, itself, is directly tied to what region of the country you were birthed in.

And OP has been watching baseball for 30 years (probably pretty average on the rant but whatever), so he knows these things better than all of you cucks.

Also Johnson knew Berry was a defensive liability, that’s why he was a DH last year at Arizona, but Johnson continually forces him into the field. As far as pitching goes, you can argue that the coaching staff has made questionable decisions that don’t maximize the talent on the pitching staff.

Hitters play, bro. Who do you suggest take Berry’s spot? Evidently he’s better defensively than the guys we run out there at DH now.

The pitching staff doesn’t have a lot of talent, period. He’s tinkering trying to figure out how to get by with them. I do think that Cooper is an embarrassment. But at the end of the day, the pitching staff finds a lot of barrels and that has nothing to do with who coaches them.

I am really curious what you could say about a college baseball coach and players being from California that could get you banned.

Please just give us a taste.

taking away first pitch strikes is not "working the count" for the next batter and philosophy of your approach in future at bats? Lol. Your elementary bro. Peace.

Thought you were “done for the day.” Glad you decided to stick around.

How many years do you think the average poster has been watching baseball?

You’re not even that advanced, apparently.

Pawl left us with some gaping holes on the roster.

Give Johnson some time to fill them. I dont Think it’s fair to expect him to have found 3 SEC caliber starting pitchers in his first offseason.

I agree, how about we let CJJ have one full fricking year to recruit and get his guys in to go with the talent we already have.

Because he’ll recruit west coast guys, and that’s problematic according to OP. It obviously means they’re woke, and only play a woke style of baseball, which is totally and completely a real thing.

I 100% agree on the poor appearance of the team. Can’t believe Riley Cooper is wearing an LSU uniform. Very disappointed in apparent lack of team discipline.

It’s almost as if the returning/existing players have not bought in.

In other words, give CJJ 24 months to get his guys into the system. I am not a man with a lot of patience either. I’m 54 years old so I have witnessed LSU baseball since 1986.

Pitching cannot be fixed this year. You have what you have. Complaining and Mulligrubbing about this program isn’t going to fix it. We haven’t had a program worth a shite since 2017. Give jay this year and two more years to see if he can get some guys in here who can pitch. Don’t expect much this season. Bite your tongue and wait it out a couple years. There is no other way to put it.

A friend was at the game Saturday night, sitting next to the LSU bull pin. He heard the pitchers talking about everything except the ball game. He asked the guy next to him about the players attention span in the game. The guy said they have been this way all year. Basically none of them give a shite about the play on the field, just post game entertainment.

I think we can agree, I don’t care if he finds them in the Mexican Donkey League, if they can play, we’ll get em a translator
