Ummm, yeah, he couldn't even lead the comeback versus Troy, and you think he would have led us to wins versus Bama and Georgia?

Well, JL did throw like 4 ints against Bama ( can't remember if any were for tds), so that hurt us. I doubt (he very well may have though) JJ would have thrown that many. Also, JL threw at least one pick 6 (if not 2, can't remember) against Georgia, and odds are JJ wouldn't have done that either. I'm just saying here. I don't see why you think we would have 5 wins without a qb who throw so many ints and made so many mistakes.

its time for that What-If game I guess....

We were an 8-5 team last year simple as that...

What if RP would not have been retarded and stayed on team?
What if Miles had hired capable defensive coordinators?
What if Andrew Hatch had not gotten hurt?
What if some of pick 6 had only been INT?
What if receivers would have caught some of their drops?
What if Bryd had give 100% effort every play of every game?
What if our DB's had picked off a couple more instead of through their hands?
What if we used powerade instead of gatorade?

You singled out RP.
You singled out Byrd.

But when it comes to the pick sixes, the QB who threw them remains anonymous.

Not trying to pick a fight--just saying that you are singling out other players for their shortcomings. So why is JL immune to the same criticism?

That's just an example of what I see on this board.

I don't mind seeing any player criticized(within reason) for their shortcomings. Football players
have been criticized for their mistakes since leather helmets were in style. I understand it's not personal.

But for some reason, when JL is criticized, then it's as if someone has kicked him in the family jewels.

It's as if it's personal.

I've definitely noticed this. I don't get it, because he was really bad for us last season. Just don't get it

Lord knows our defense last year was outstanding, certainly the defense gave up few many less points than JL.

All this JJ and JL stuff is pretty funny, at the Tiger Tour in Atlanta a fan during his question to Miles said he was comfortable with whatever QB Miles chose to go with and Miles ripped him saying what he was comfortable with has no count with his decision or his football team.

Never said our d was good. Just making the point that it makes no sense to think we would have only won 5 games for a qb that clearly didn't help us very often

Usually when you credit entire wins to a single player, that player had an amazing year. An amazing year usually does not get you benched.

if you read my responses about JL I admit he played bad, I have said many times he needs to work on decision making, that his INT's cost us games, that he throws off back foot.

When I respond to JL it is usually when people put all of the blame for last season on him.

He was not responsible for the 5 games we lost. He played a part in them but was not the sole reason we lost.

I could have put
"What if we didn't have 7 Pick 6"
"What if we didn't throw 16 Picks"

He was a Redshirt Freshmen starting so I guess I expected alot of INTS. Not many freshmen perform well in SEC, Erik Ainge and Jay Cutler are really are only 2 to throw double digit touchdowns and less than 10 INT.

I did single out RP because had that situation not happen. JL does not see field last year, neither does JJ but thats a different discussion.
I have said had RP not been kicked off team we win 10 games.

I think if you interchange JJ/JL last year we are still a 8 win team with a Freshmen at QB.

I really don't understand how someone can think this. We probably win Bama and UGA with a below average quarterback.

Versus UGA, JL threw three INTs - two pick sixes and one returned to the UGA 35 which led to a 50 yard FG. 17 points off of picks. We lost by 14.

Versus Bama, JL threw four INTs - the first returned to the LSU 15 which led to a TD, the second a pick six, the third on the Bama 29, and the fourth in overtime to end the game. 14 points off of picks. We lost by 6.

That's two more wins LSU should have had right there, lost in his hands more than anything else.

No way JJ puts enough points on the board versus UGA, and who knows versus Bama. No one seems to remember the perfect bomb JL threw to Jared Mitchell in the Bama game that was a sure TD until it was dropped.

Your logic is flawed. All you can say from what you posted is that if JL didn't commit costly turnovers versus UGA and Bama we would have won. You can't just assume that JJ automatically puts up the same offensive output that JL did, especially at a time in the season when Les said JJ wasn't ready.

Obviously we can't know for sure JJ would have won the game, but I think he would have given us a better chance than JL.
