Want to know a little secret, before the Dugas injury, Reid wouldn't have even been a permanent substitute for Hughes at third if anything were to happen. Hell, he still may not be the second option, with Bianco as another option.

I still wanna argue for Watson at 3rd and Gio at CF.

Reid is the ultimate team player, a fan favorite, seems like a great kid, and does just about everything adequately. He is the perfect utility role player. Why can't people just accept that? It seems he has.
Amen.

You know, if Watson could play 3B that would be a wonderful idea. I know he played SS in high school, but I'm sure most of these players did. He's a great CF, but I am loving Gio, and wish he could get on the field. Not sure how Watson would do as an infielder, but that would be a great lineup.

If Garza can be a solid catcher I'm betting we see a whole lot of Gio at DH when that time comes. It just seems him, Dugas (pre injury) and Beleso were players that need to see the field as the season progresses.

You sound stupid. Congrats you can regurgitate well-known information. Half our team played SS in high school. What you're suggesting is utter nonsense. Bitch.

I have a feeling watson’s glove would not be very crisp at 3rd.

Hal has been fine at 3rd so far. We can better evaluate his plate abilities after maybe the 2nd week of conference play

Which would be better? Hughes at 3rd and Smith at SS or Hughes at SS and Smith at 3rd?

Smith looks just fine at SS. I've been pleasantly surprised so far.

I mean, I get what you are saying, but what the guy said isn't totally off the wall. It's not going to happen, but it is a great hypothetical. Can you imagine what that line up would be like. There is power, average, speed, and not a single hole.

Um, Watson was listed as infielder on the roster his Freshman year. It's not like this is some suggestion out of nowhere. He was brought in as an infielder.

You're unnecessarily angry about this and you look like an imbecile.

Yeah. I'm sure Watson would be less than stellar moving to the infield. And I have no issues with Hughes at all. It has more to do with my thoughts of Gio than anything.

Well, I'm not angry. Or an imbecile. So there's that.
What he suggested makes no sense based on the current situation. It's not Watson's freshman year. I doubt he has seen one rep as an infielder since then.

On a different note, I thought Bianco looked pretty good at second against Southern. His fielding has been a big question mark since he got to campus, but he can become a solid infielder I think.

There’s no way I’m taking my best outfielder and moving him to a position he hasn’t played since highschool to supplant a guy who has been an exceptional infielder.

If I wanted Gio in the outfield that bad then I would DH Cabrera. Which I still don’t think is a good idea but it’s a better one than moving Watson.

I don't disagree with any of that.

And I wouldn't want to try Watson at 3rd after not having fielded in the infield for over 2 years. The other guy just went way overboard and was factually incorrect.

Yeah. He needs more at bats to find his rhythm, but I'm not seeing where he gets them this year. Beleso is looking like the guy at 1B, and Hughes is far from being removed from 3B at this point.

Please show me where I was factually incorrect. Now you're agreeing with me as well, just FYI.

I honestly didn’t remember Watson being projected as an infielder for us either.

I knew he was a SS in high school but I thought the plan was always to play him in the outfield

I agree which is why I said I didn’t think it was a good idea.

Honestly I’m not fricking with an outfield that could very well be the best in the country
