Blair is a really good announcer. He is excited for the team he is paid to announce for. That ain’t a knock on him. And while I know we can’t have a good ol baw who bleeds purple and gold announcing for lsu, you can tell he isn’t a good ol baw who bleeds purple and gold. Again, not a knock, but Jim bled purple and gold. There’s not an honest true tiger fan who hasn’t cussed Jared Jones at some point in the past few days. And not one of us who claimed he never did and that we have loved him since he was the biggest baby in Louisiana.

I drove 10 hours today. Listened/streamed broadcast until middle of 8th when I got home.

Kinda wish I got home a little later just for that.

Great call by Chris Blair. He has turned out to be a great announcer. Him and Thompson work good together!

My boy always has to walk out of the room to compose himself after a huge moment.

You are right on!! I listened to SiriusXM this week while working. The announcers were horrible! One set sounded like they were having a “bromance” more than announcing a baseball game. Had to go online a find one of the teams radio stations to finish the game.

Ive knocked him a bit but that video and audio shows his passion. Great call there. He lacks some on time baseball action of whats going on but that call was as good as it gets

Doug is definitely one of us. You know it kills him not to scream into the mic lol. I wouldn last a game, one Ric Flair and I’d be done

Dougie called Bear’s home run to tie it around 3:17. Or wished it into existence at least.

So Doug is a buddy of mine. When Tanks hit the walkoff in 23 he ran out of the booth like a lunatic. I texted him a pic of him running out the door & said “dude, where tf you going?” He says “Idk, I didn’t know what to do but I had to get outta there”. Lol. He did the same shite tonight…not as bad tho. Gonna have to frick with him. Good stuff Dooder

I never warmed up to Hawthorne despite him being here for a long time

Hawthorne was a damn good basketball guy and Blair is a great baseball announcer. They were/are both middle of the road for football.

It takes some talent to articulate an event that is so exciting! I wouldn’t know what to say!

"He doesn't show emotion."

"I don't feel any passion."

"He doesn't love LSU."

"BYE BYE ARKANSAS!"
