Stop fuching spinning. He neglected to land a CB, QB and no elite RB. Now we’re paper thin at all those positions. It was magnified by Surtain because he would have at least been a huge bolster to our CB position.

Coach O has committed to building a championship by building up LSU in the trenches. This is the first season in a long, long time that I can remember where LSU has the muscle to move people out and dominate the line on defense.

O just took a team with....

52 4 and 5 star players
returning senior qb
returning all sec rb
Highest paid coordinators
the easiest schedule anyone can remember

AND HE STILL LOST 4 GAMES.

O will never have a better chance to finish with 1 or 2 losses than he did last year.

This.

Don't get me wrong, there is PLENTY to be upset about, but we literally don't know what tangible results we're going to get on the field with the new offense.

We come out looking like shite, sure, jump on off. But it's pretty silly to melt before a single snap has been taken.

if by “few” you meant “damn near the entire country” in regards to the Natty Miles won, then i agree.

how did this tomfoolery start?

why do you yokels try to promote the mythology that Miles didn't build from the trenches? that was his core principle

yeah we had some silly OL philosophy later in his career (due to Grimes and zone blocking), but the lines were ALWAYS the primary focus (along with skill/athleticism on the outside)

and Miles recruited much better talent on the lines than O has so far. Miles wasn't relying primarily on 3-star line talent

Give Him A Chance U!!! Give us your unqualified, inexperienced, previously disastrous masses and we'll happily offer them top salaries with job security until even a blind man could tell it's time for them to go! Geaux Try-gers!

he has supposedly rebuilt our lines (still not proven) yet has already destroyed our cornerback depth. this is supposed to annually be the strongest position on our team. how did he do that?

I wish they would go ahead and bail out. This board is unreadable.

It is like having someone pour gasoline all over your home and dropping a match on an area heavily concentrated with the fuel. By your philosophy, that person should say, "It may be okay, as not much has been burned yet. No reason to bail out of the house." The edges of the LSU program have already started to burn, but it is extremely inevitable that the whole house is coming down. The fuel has been spread widely, with the disgraceful head coach hire, the embarrassing OC hire, the hysterical loss to Troy, a barely average season, a terrible Bowl game exhibition, and a sub-par recruiting class. At what point do you step outside of the house and truly assess the damage, and accept the reality of what the fire will destroy? I have plenty of things in my life to be happy about, but it is so disappointing that the joy of LSU football is all but gone.

Let them bail. Just wish they would completely bail and go away for a while.

Alternative title: "Let the program be completely destroyed and run into the ground before bailing out"

You're telling people to chill out and let the season play out. Then you go on to make assumptions that LSU has the "MUSCLE" and will "DOMINATE" on the Dline. It's possible, but nothing has been proven! So, chill out and let the season play out before making ridiculous claims.

And LSU finally has the QB talent that is somewhat comparable to Mettenberger's

How can you even state this as fact?? Once again, how about you CHILL OUT and let the season play out.

by signing a bunch of 3 and low 4 star guys? another false narrative - you guys must be getting marching orders from the ADs office or something.
you can "build the trenches" and still finish top 10. you can also build the trenches while still addressing needs at QB and CB.

Guess who else has the muscle to dominate in the trenches? Auburn, State (obviously due to last year), Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Miami.
