This past weekend I brought my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter to their first LSU baseball game.Even in the cold weather saturday, it was a blast..especially the 8 run inning! The only complaint I have is the area we were in (right between home and first base) everytime the kids and I cheered, we were either hushed, asked to sit down or could hear a bunch of throats clear meaning for us to sit. Now i know that everyone has a right to enjoy the game, and most of the people sitting by us were ummm elderly, but come on. I could understand if it was me standing up and yelling if i was drunk, but it was kids, who by the way knew all the cheers and all the players by name. Next time i think ill sit in the out field bleachers. Anyone else have this problem?

My only gripe is the fans that come in late looking for their seat blocking your view while Blake Dean is up at the plate. At least have the courtesy to watch from the concourse while LSU is batting and then come locate your seat.

Sporting games are not held in movie theaters. Unless standing becomes prolonged and/or at inopportune times, you have the right to express yourself. I'm not a spring chicken but some old timers think they are entitled to run the stadiums. I'd go back to the same seats & do as I pleased. But if your cheering bothered them, they'd go nuts if they had to sit by the K lady for 9 innings. Her voice is like a loud foghorn.

Come to Coon’s Corner next time. We’re equal opportunity taunters.

THIS.

i mean dear god..half the fun of baseball is you can actually be heard by the players on the field as opposed to basketball or football. if i cant cheer and jeer then whats the point?

We’ve been having a large freshman contingent from the vach/bay/thib area.

Nothing yet on my pot. I was going to the krazy Cajun place on Friday afternoon but ended up working at the judge’s house on my lawn mower til like 5 then going back to thib because of the cancellation.

I’m torn between a few options: buy complete setup; buy pot and burner and modify burner to what I want; buy just the pot and completely fab the burner.

I’ll see.

i sit in section 213 and cheer my arse off .. the people i sit around i pretty much know from the old box .. but when someone new sits in the section and does it, they try to do the same thing to them ... many times i have told the old farts to chill the frick out ...

i have a lot of friends with small kids that sit in the homerun bleachers in left and they tell me it is VERY kid and cheer friendly out there ..

eta: and the way gaudet's hitting this season so far, they have a pretty good chance to get a HR ball out there ..

I've been sitting in the green seats above the visitors dugout and there are a lot of people that cheer around there.

I think this is the problem. I don't have season tickets but attend as many games as possible. I find that the season ticket holders feel like they own their section and don't like new people.

Actually heard a "down in front" last year in game 2 of the SR vs. Rice with 2 outs in the ninth for standing up and cheering.

Man, that crap pisses me off.

I remember for the Super Regionals last year I had tickets in the bleachers, but I went meet my friends who had SRO tickets. There was a sweet spot right behind home, and I moved a trash can so that I could stand there, and some dude (not even an Alex Box worker) tapped me and said "I put that there for a reason, so that these kids wouldn't come bother me."

I'm not usually a guy who goes starting stuff, but I said, "And I moved it for a reason. So that I could stand here."
