I liked Wade. I’m disappointed that we had to let him go.
My support for LSU is unwavering. I have loyalty to the university, not the coach. I suspect that at the end of the day, it will be the same for the rest of you too, after everyone has had a chance to finish melting and cool down.

I wonder what college basketball at Division 1 would look like if every program never cheated or paid players ?
Would you go to Kentucky because they had a good coach ? Or would academics be a factor ? Would you go to Duke because Coach K had commitments from three other HS All Americans ?
Do you go to North Carolina because Roy had won 3 National Championships ?
If every program were pure and only offered Scholarships, who would win in recruiting and why ?

The person that you need to be mad at is Will Wade!! His actions may cause the entire athletic program to suffer! He chose to blatantly break the rules. Stop blaming other people for what Will Wade did. Read the notice of allegations, and tell me what would you have done if you were in charge of the entire athletic program. If you broke multiple rules at your job, what would your bosses do??

frick that. I’m a tiger. I’ll support my school always. No one person is beyond the institution and never will be. LSU stands for the hundreds of thousands of students who walked through her halls and the millions of people who support what that means. Wade was a great motivator and a great recruiter. He was a decent coach. He was a lousy cheater. Yes, they all cheat. But, he was careless, reckless and most surprising, impetuous. His own family’s bank account?! Arrogant to say the least. Wade was the most exciting thing to happen to LSU basketball since we sat by the court as students shaking newspapers watching Shaq rip bolts out of the floor. We will be back. We always bounce back. It’s what makes LSU…LSU.
