It would probably astound most people to know how much untapped and wasted potential there is/was out there in the sports worlds.

I was incredibly athletic as a kid but I never had parents that supported athletics. Never had a dad that taught me sports or threw ball with me. Told my wife that no matter what sports my kids are interested We WILL support them 100%. Drive them to practice without the grief. Make sure they have proper equipment. Take an interest in what they are doing and help teach and train them.

At 13 years old I was running a 4.46 40. Blew everybody away in long jump at a citywide NORD meet by 2 feet. Was disqualified all 3 jumps because no one told me I couldnt step on the line. Could dunk a 9' goal from a regulation foul line with a small ball. Full size ball was too big for my hands and I would lose it going up. I was a bad kid in school and so each new school I went to I would make lunch money betting people that I could straight hurdle a jump rope held nose high. I ate well.

With just a little parental support and coaching Im sure I could have at least played DI ball.

Still kind of pisses me off but I take solace in knowing that I would have probably been one of those knuckleheads getting kicked off every team anyway for recreational drug test failures and making 'contact' with officials.

The Saints OC hasn’t played shite. I know Payton calls plays, but do you think he would value Carmichael if he didn’t know his shite? Just bc you played doesn’t mean you’re not a moron and vice versa.
