Shriner’s Classic website most seats are a flat rate and are “first come first served”. You can spend some extra cheese and sit right behind home plate with a specific seat assignment.
Which game(s) are you planning to go watch? Here are the LSU games:
Fri, Feb 28 — TIGERS WIN!!
Sat, Feb 29 @ 3:00pm — LSU/Baylor
Sun, Mar 1 @ 11:00am — LSU/OU
UPDATE: trash cans are available all throughout the stadium if you would like to bang on one. Cameras in center field directed towards home plate will be turned off....according to sauces.

Do I bring my own trash can or is one provided by the Astros at the gate?

Fri night will likely be packed for that matchup
Keep in mind it is limited concessions for this tournament
They opened the roof for Fri night game last time LSU was there but it was closed the next two days one due to rain.
Check weather forecast, if it is cold, it will be chilly inside the stadium even with roof closed.

Was there last time LSU went, and I'm going with some buddies this year. If you're a college baseball fan, you can't beat hanging out at Minute Maid for 3 days watching these games.

I was hoping to make a weekend of it, but looks like my sons and I will just make a day trip down from San Marcos. Still trying to decide on Sat or Sun.

Do you have to buy a full day pass online or can you buy single game tickets?

I will be wearing an LSU Springer jersey, come say hello.

Why? He played at UCONN.
ETA: I assumed due to the Astros context that you meant George. I realize now you probably mean Russ. But I'm not editing out my mistake.

Most Importantly: Will Chris "Leatherlung" Guillot be in attendance?

You can buy single game tickets (for $99) with an assigned seat right behind home plate. Or buy a day pass for $20 and it’s first come first served seating...and you can watch every game for that day.
We just buy the open seating and find 2 seats as close as we can get. And yes, some assholes say they are saving seats but just go get an usher and they will let you sit there.

Will be there for all 3 games. Looking forward to the overpriced $12-14 beers.

We are flying in from KC for brother in laws 40th Saturday. Will probably be going Sunday to see the Tigers beat OU's arse again!

I'll be there for all three. Staying close by at Homewood Suites on Crawford Street.

I'll be behind plate. Have been there the past two appearances. I got texts from friends during the game, one telling me that the announcers were talking about us and the ump certainly noticed. Glad to do my part!!

I'll be coming in hot from Dubai, look for the guy behind homeplate sleeping with a beer in his hand.
