this is the version i got...
LSU-Oregon
finally, the best time of the year is here, college football season.
Big Game!!! Big Stage!!! Big Chance???
everyone is probably wondering what the "true" mood of the team is. I have to say i was a little surprised when i saw it for myself.
one of the original four participants alleged involved in the fight is a roommate of my brother, so i got to talk with him nd his family a lot the last couple of weeks along with a few of the other guys. all i kept hearing was, i'm tired of this, glad when this is over, people getting on my nerves, all they want to know about is the fight, noone is talking about football anymore. pretty down moods all around.
Somewhere last week the light went off. someone stood up and said let's block all of it out, this is what we have been working our tails off for. at that very moment, 90 young men listened and got focused.
that young man got voted a captain for the game.
i say all that to say this, saturday night cant get here fast enough.
The Game:
Those who read these threads last year know i never tried to make anything sound good if i did not think it was. had a few people made at me for calling the loss to Auburn last year, but it played out how i thought, so what i say is what i see and feel.
last year i was very skeptical of some of the game plans and i voiced that even if it was a victory. LSU just outmanned most teams last year.
this week i think the gameplan is closing in on perfection.
on offense, if you think they are going to eat the ball to try to keep the ducks off the field, dont tune in. the offense shold make an early statement in this game. the thing is, if it does not go how they want will they stick with it? i hope so. look for a lot of movement, isolations and just plain here is the ball beat the man in front of you. attack, attack , attack. we called for a lot of this last year and did not get it, but what a difference a year makes. Lsu is facing a better caliber team then it did last year in the opener, but i cant see less than 30 on the scoreboard.
on defense, how to stop the duck attack. its fast paced and ran with precision. by being physical. hitting, sure tackling. trusting the man next to you, playing assignment football. look for some pre-snap movement along the line, not neccesarily to confuse the ducks but to gain more one-on-one with a few key players. the secondary will be key here, mainly the cb's. can they handle one-on-one matchups and allow the coaches to do what they feel they can do?
if this is done look for a long night for the duck offense. can it be stopped totally, probably not, but you can get them out of their comfort zone.
my take - 34-20 Tigers,
i know this is not as much as last year but i only got to one practice. will update if i gather more info or remember anything else.
any questions just let me know and see you guys in Dallas
keep in mind this is JMO
