So what if CS is intoxicated as well, does that diminish his responsibility as well since he obviously can't think as clearly in that state.
Louisiana doesn't have diminished capacity, but intoxication is a defense. However, this isn't one of those instances where it may be used.

She's doesn't have to be "passed out."
If she's so drunk she's blacked out, then she fits the definition of simple rape.
How do you know when someone is drunk enough that they won't remember what they did the next day? You don't.

Charles Scott lives in Prairieville??
Wouldn't have guessed it.

That's absurd. Do you have any daughters?
You are a gaping anus.
Please go eat a shotgun.

WTF happened to innocent until proven guilty. No woman is excited the next day after she did the deed with a guy she just met. So if you screwed a girl on the first date your a rapist because she regrets it? bullshite

Someone earlier in the thread said he doesn't have any money. I know that neighborhood and its got some pretty damn nice houses in it so he definitly has SOME money.
WHat round was he drafted in?

To some 18 year old girl...I find it hard to believe that you would consider a has been like Charles Scott to be considered a "Persons-of-fame."
Girls go home with dudes every night from the bars. You don't think Charles Scott gets attention in tigerland?

I hope you are giving Jerry Sandusky the same considerations because nothing has been proven against him either.
Multiple sources and underage boys is a little different than this, don't you think? i can elaborate this rational, but I would like to see you struggle first.

Teddy Bundy didn't need to kill all those women either. You know absolutely nothing about this girl...so you can not assume Charles Scott could magically have his way with her.
Wow, extrapolate much? Back to the subject, the post was arguing that Charles Scott most probably wouldn't find the need to rape someone. Again, more elaboration on why Ted Bundy has no relevance here can be added.

With no information, I would think the best thing to do is not to take sides.
I agree totally. Very capable of being guilty, also very capabale of being guilty of taking home the wrong girl.

If he made decisions to screw up his career...I am pretty sure he could make them to screw up his life.
What are you referring to here? What makes you think his character is in question. In the spotlight he has always done the right things.

Obviously we don't have all the information here
I do think it's childish though for a bunch of people to just make declarative statements that she's making it up with zero evidence
Which is precisely what a lot of idiots in this thread (you included) are doing

His Ted Bundy point was a valid one. Rape, or even consentually taking advantage of a drunk girl, is not always an act of desperation.

Not really. We know what the charge is: Simple rape. We know what that entails. He didn't force her. He didn't drug her.
Apparently you've never had this happen to you or anyone you know.
What facts could there be for you to blame this on Scott and not a stupid law that someone is taking advantage of?
It's similar to the fact that you can go to jail for statutory rape if an underage girl sneaks into a bar, lies about her age, and you sleep with her without knowing she's underage. So next time you meet a girl in a bar, check her ID make sure it's valid and she's of age and also check her blood alcohol content, otherwise you may go to jail the next day.

I'm having a discussion with TheSexecutioner in a thread about rape
I would argue that both of those cases are always an act of desperation. In what situation can you say that in some way or another it isn't a desperate act?

It's not rape if she nods off to sleep

Charles Scott is a dog when it comes to women. Went to class with a chick he tried to get with without even knowing her. Also heard about him bringing in different girls all the time.
This wouldn't surprise me.
You have got to be fricking kidding me. This post has caught the ghey all over it.
He tried to get with a chick without even knowing her? What kind of chick do you bang, Oedipus?
Bringing in different girls all the time... so it wouldn't surprise you if he raped someone. Pretty far extrapolation there - being a ladies man does not make you a rapist.
I can't wait till your mom turns off the internet and forces you to move out and get a job. Please quit talking.

What am I referring to...Personal experience! What makes me think his character is in question...Personal experience!
In the spotlight he has always done the right thing...Most people in the spotlight do the right thing. Michael Vick never had a public dog execution. Kobe doesn't rape in public. Hell...Mark Maguire has never taken steriods in public.
What the frick is that supposed to mean..."in the spotlight he has always done the right thing"!
Sugar Ray Leonard has never done coke or cheated on his wife in the spotlight either!!!

So if my personal experience makes me think they girl is a liar and whore who is setting him up for some sick reason, would that make it correct?
The frick its supposed to mean is that you have no idea what type of person he is, and you have no reason to think he would rape her as much as you think she would set him up. You've known him as a person in the spotlight for a few years and you can't say an ounce of bad about him. You said he screwed up his career so he could screw up his life... how exactly did he screw up his career?

If you believe that...one day you will find out you were terribly wrong. Ask Charles Scott!
So you really think if you bore a woman enough and she falls asleep then she is consenting to you having sex?
When I first read your post I thought it was sarcasm...please tell me I am right!
