Can someone answer where Hanigriff is getting his info?

I thought the media were locked out of practice and scrimmages. Is he citing an inside source or is this his opinion based off of watching individual drills for a week at the beginning of camp?

there actually are more than a couple TE's catching 50-60 balls/year for very decent yardage.

4 tight ends caught more than 50 balls last year.

Hell, 38 catches was the most a TE caught in the SEC. That's roughly 3 catches per game.

Thats bc dupre is too small... He'll get bigger as he ages but I don't see him being an impact player a all this year.
Most people knew Quinn was ahead of him.

Exactly. Les is at best a 2 loss per year coach. Yet every year some tards on this board predict undefeated seasons and national championships. 2 losses is always our best case scenario as long as Les is coach.

Right, just like 2011 huh? Do us all a favor and post less you maggot.

If we can narrow our loss to just one, we can make it to the sec championship

Whatever happened to Kevin Spears? Haven't heard much about him throughout training camp.

I think you're mixing your leagues in your responses. This subthread started w/ the NFL team cuts, Gronk/Graham, etc. So yes, in CFB, there were 4 TE's who caught more than 50 balls last year. In the NFL, there were lots.

Let's round it up to 3. 2.6 is a little too "glass half full" for me.

I thought it was about us not using our tight ends.

Seems like there's some contention over how valuable a pass-catching TE is...in CFB as well as the pros.

Programs have better success when the players, parents and yes even the fans buy into it! Unity builds character and strength so like him or not Les Miles is the coach and his record speaks for itself. We all want to win every game and make since of all the decisions but that's always easier on the outside! I myself have made the mistake of making comments that wasn't helpful in supporting the program. As a LSU fan I challenge us all to step back and evaluate ourself to support the whole program from the coaches to each and every player and unite! LSU has pride and has never been a weak team. However I believe this unit can be extra special! This year we have youth and we have experience. Let them under estimate us! I believe the right pieces have been put together. I support and will defend this team. Their in it to win it. The best players for the job will be in place and the only ones who know best are the only ones who can actually decide. But to make it clear we are very deep making each player better prepared to step up when their number is called! So rant on and enjoy the show!

Pretty sure those complaining about our not using our tight ends are talking about in the passing game.

Dupre's injury is holding him back. Once he gets on the field, they won't be taking him off much.

We will utilize the TE's this year. Don't believe for a second, we let Smith go to waste and on top of having young QBs and WRs.

Rasco is set as well as Hunter.

That might be important if not for the fact LSU since 05 has loss less games than all but 1 BCS school. So, if 99+% of schools are averaging more losses than LSU in the past 9 yrs, what's the freaking big deal??

Has been playing with fricked up shoulders for his first two years. They told him it would be better to get only one repaired last offseason instead of both, so he's still had a bad one and one healing. Now has had the other repaired this offseason.

Has been dealing with the shoulder problems since senior year of high school.
