So what you're saying is that if you don't know how a team will perform, then you aren't a fan?

You don't get it. Charles is in the media to express his views on sports, mainly LSU. And he's had no problem doing so, so far. Now suddenly, Mr. Mouth has no opinion?

I went to games last year. I"m not convinced on Johnny Jones as a coach.

The team as a whole couldn't defend a lick. Martin and Mickey were the worst culprits. All teams had to do was set a screen up top and there was a clear lane to the bucket.

This group has a chance to compete in what appears to be another weak SEC. I'm excited about the players in the program, but it's time for Jones to start producing results on the court. 9-9 in the SEC isn't going to cut it

You just don't know what you're going to get from this team, even when we have talent. It reminds me of the Pelicans in a way and for some reason I still get my hopes up about both teams every season.

The Pelicans could be good with a new coach. Williams is uninspiring and has won 41% of his games in four seasons.

I like JJ's recruiting and the fact that he likes to do some things like they were done during LSU's glory years with Dale Brown. But after hearing about how good his personality is, he hasn't showcased it much and appears quiet on the bench. I hope he can kick it up a few notches for the sake of the team.

I also went to games last year

We were pretty predictable in our half-court sets at times. I'm willing to hold off judgment as he just now has a type of personnel that fit what he wants to do. One thing I will pass judgment on is his outstanding recruiting. And he also hired what should be an excellent bench coach in Eric Mussleman.

I stated he was either uninterested or uninformed. Or perhaps just lazy.

Does it show that he's lazy by his lack of an opinion on something he's paid to have an opinion on or does it show because he's a fat, little dumpling?

I listened to him speak about the basketball team a few days ago. He sounded very informed on each of the players and what they COULD bring to the table. I think he knows that this team could do really nice things, he also knows that last year we all thought the same and were disappointed when somewhat unrealistic expectations weren't fulfilled.

Saying he doesn't have an opinion on the team does't mean he is uninformed or uninterested, it means he doesn't know how this team will look on the court compared to what they look on paper right now, and neither do you.

He probably was being sarcastic because every time people think our team is going to do something, we have another mostly-boring, mediocre season.

I'll be there this year. Having the extra bigs to defend and rebound are going to be hmmm, big!

Yeah it's really not a difficult concept to grasp. That was obviously the point he was conveying. Apparently it went over some people's head

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Me thinks Hannagriff has heard this saying before.
