Let's pray for a full recovery for Chad. Classy move by the Giants to let him keep the signing bonus.

Lot of work ahead for him...just needs to stick with it.

It isn't about what happened to him, nor is it about what could have been.

It is all about where he goes from here, just like it is every day for all of us.

He had plenty of talent and drive to get to where he was. He still has plenty of talent and drive.

Don't look back dude - look forward.

Good Luck to you Chad.

He should have stayed at LSU anyway, his draft stock did not warrant an early departure.

New CBA that will include a rookie scale, moron. He didn't leave any money at the table that one more season would have got him.

PJ, the guy has absolutely NO proof of the events surrounding the accident yet places blame on the kid. The response was appropriate.

There are a couple of asshats in here looking to take a jab at a kid we all can be proud of. Maybe he was to blame for his crash (who knows what happened exactly), but an incredibly talented young man has had his world come to a stop. Sure it is nice to have $825k minus taxes and agent fees, but that is no where near the issue.

Just wish the kid well and to have a successful and speedy recovery. He's a beloved Tiger. Leave it at that.

I think in a way the guy was saying Chad should have not put himself in a bad spot at 2 am. I know kids will be kids and shite. But its szad that he ruined everything he worked for IF he was to blame.

You know what gives me hope when it comes to Chad's future...

THIS happened in December 2009 (football injury - I get a little squeemish)

This article is from this morning.

IF is the operative word.

Even if, I will still offer compassion to a good kid. IF it was his fault, he is now paying that tab and it sucks.

Get well CJ.

Hopefully he will make a full recovery. Maybe the Saints can grab him up because I would love to see CJ stay in LA..... just saying..

Well said Carrell!! As Tiger fans, and fans of the game, this is how all our mindsets should be for Chad Jones. The events that led up to the accident don't matter. What matters is that we support this young man in his fight to recovery. It is sad to see him hurt, yes, but with all of us cheering Chad on, he will continue to push himself harder on this long road.

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery Chad!

I don't really blame them. The NFL is a business, not a charity. CJ brought this on himself when he got in a one car wreck in the early morning hours while driving around in NOLA. It may seem harsh, but he has no one to blame but himself.

This is off thread, BUT...

Does anyone know his medical status ?

Is he walking ? Did he lose any bone ? Are there plates, screws, etc. in the leg ?

And for all those speculating on IF this or WHAT IF that - lay off of that stuff. What's the point ?

If I were him, I'd try to enroll back in LSU and do my rehab through lsu; taking a redshirt year next year then trying to pitch the following. Get your degree and get drafted.

You people are fricking idiots. None of you have any idea what actually happened. I sure as shite wouldnt want you pulling for me in any aspects of life if you crucify someone based on what you THINK may have happened.
