LSU had several multi-sport stars in the old days including:
Alvin Dark-- baseball and football
Joe Bill Adcock-- baseball and basketball
Mike Miley-- football and baseball
The non-ancient posters are not likely to remember back that far.

What about Lyle Mouton? Stud OF and hitter and played guard on the basketball team. Made it to the majors.

Chad Jones in the top 10 of LSU's greatest athletes ever?
Yeah, he's right up there with Bennie Brazell, and Xavier Carter.

Barring major injury, he should be by the end of his career at LSU

What are some other historical duel sport stars that LSU has had?
Trindon Holliday- Track & Field All American, 2nd team All SEC return man with a year to go.
Most of the other ones that come to mind were baseball, football, though Ben McDonald did the Baseball All-American, pretty good basketball reserve gig for a while.
Old School guys like Buddy Blair,(National champion in track and basketball and played baseball) Jack Torrance,(NC in Track and all SEC in football), and Alvin Dark (baseball and football) should not be forgotten.

When I saw Chris Jackson and (the white one) following it, I thought it was a joke. Surely they meant the basketball playing Chris Jackson. Dude was a beast.

Alex Box should be added to this list
