An LSU baseball official later told WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, La., that Jones was out of surgery and doctors believed he would keep both legs.

Don't think they took the time to do a blood test or got him to blow. It will all come out, right now I don't see where it matters.
They do
no they don't. Happened to my brother and they didn't make him blow. He told them he had 3 beers and they just said let it go

AFR update
No link, but Moscona says his sources close to the situation are also reporting his football career is likely in jeopardy (no news, just wanted to add another source to that speculation)
Earlier, he did say that Jones had signed his contract this week so any guaranteed money would be his barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Wow, that's certainly a bold statement.

Matt's a local guy, but he's been pretty dead on with some stuff. And he's getting me through my afternoons at work so I have to respect that.
Could he end up being wrong, of course, it happens. I think we'd all hope that info that has been repeated by several sources is wrong, including the sources themselves
ETA: wanted to show that he is updating from time to time, mostly, but I forgot to put it in the first update group.

Moscona IS NOT an ESPN guy.
Some might view that as an endearing quality, no?

Also, apparently alcohol may be involved in the accident. Pray for Chad and remember not to drink and drive.
If that's the case, does tiger nation unsend their prayers?
Nope. Pray harder.

I've seen this injury may times and hope they can restore blood flow to the lower extremity. Doctors are probably repairing a damaged artery from the tib/fib fracture based on said reports.
Once successfully repaired, adequate perfusion must be diligently monitored minimum every 30 min (pulse, warmth, sensation, movement, and capillary refill/nailbed color). The problem is that clots can form in a repaired vessel, which can then impede blood flow. Clot busters (tPA) can be administered at the site for thrombus prevention, if necessary. Possible hyperbaric chamber "dives" to expedite recovery of tissues as he continues to heal.
He will have a great staff taking care of him, probably the best Trauma MDs/RNs in the unit looking after him.
I don't know his exact injuries, but know he's in excellent hands. He's lucky to be alive, and I wish him a speedy recovery. Stay positive!!!
