I guess it depends on where you think his stock currently is.
If he runs anything close to 4.50, he's going mid 2nd at worst IMO.

CJ will be moved to LB in pros for sure
he lifted about as much as a skinny corner and you think he's LB material?

Don't you guys remember that he has a bum shoulder? It might not be fully healed enough for him to push it on the bench.

I dont care how you slice that is sad for a guy his size. Hell the guy is a D1 athlete, i know high school kids who arent that big that can lift more than that.

i think he was being sarcastic because a lot of people on here were predicting that during the season because of how big he had gotten, this of course before his bench press numbers. he'd still make a good nickel back in the pros as well i think

I think he'll do best in the verticle jump, which is good. If he runs in the 4.5's his stock will drop a bit.
Nah, he will be fine if he runs under a 4.6, which is about what I expect him to run.

The bench press is way overrated. I don't think nine reps stopped him from knocking the hell out of wide receivers last year.

If he was hurt or suspected he would get a low number of reps, why even participate in the bench press portion? Low numbers at the combine will only hurt you.

9 is just horrible. You could find 5-10 under guys under 195 lbs in any ymca around town who could do more than this and are not college atheletes.

LSU fans can try and make excuses for him but 9 reps at his size and weight is horrid. Really no excuse for any SEC player to only bench 225 9 reps much less someone weighing over 220lbs.

<----------------- this guy
Jones had to be hurt or had to sneeze or something....ill never believe thats all he can do......i weighed in yesterday at 181 and i can do 10 reps doing bench last after my entire chest workout...and im no where near LSU players levels of strength and conditioning.

225 only 9 times is a joke. There has to be uncounted reps.
Like someone said, you can go to any local gym and see 195 lbs guys working out with 225 or more on sets of 10.
At the LSU rec 225 10 times is considered weak.

Chad Jones Bench press
Draft Countdown!
CHAD JONES DID 24 REPS on bench!
ETA: Chad Jones ran a 4.57 twice, the site you listed has him at a 4.56. Because he wasn't in the top 10 times of DBs his official was not released, but I would suspect it was 4.6 or slower

Chad Jones does not have bad cover skills.
BULL shite!
Chad Jones has some of the worst cover skills in the entire SEC. he made up for his shitty cover skill by being a good athlete though. Look at ANY scouting report on him and they talk about his abysmal cover skills.

Name another safety who can throw a backdoor slider like Jones. No one.
Trindon throwing up 225 that many times = freakish strength.

I would make sure I could do enough benches before leaving early.
