Guess I should have been more clear. I was just talking about Jackson and not any other Heisman winner. Meaning they shut down Jackson more than any other team that I can recall.

And I don’t try to minimize the Louisville win. It was a good win over a good team. O and the staff had the team ready, including the offense against a better than they get credit for Louisville D.
Getting teams ready for a bowl game is different than getting a team ready for a weekly grind, but that game had me feeling better about our chances going into last year.
But September made that game seem less relevant pretty quick.

They really did kick the crap out of those guys and completely shut down the Heisman Trophy winner, more so than anyone that I can remember.

Just trying to be fair. I mean, he won the Heisman for a reason and if I remember correctly he had more career rushing yards than Saquon Barkley. So, the OL had to be doing something at least good enough for him to do that.

That's how fragile an 18 to 20 year old kids psyche can be. Idk what's so hard to understand about that? They gave up as soon as that happened. I know I could feel the difference immediately. Us not having our best lineup sure didn't help either but after that play those kids were destroyed. You can argue that it shouldn't have been or how weak of a psyche that is but it happened.

Excellent point Lunatik. I always get a kick out of the posters that go on and on about the 2007 losses and the 2011 NC loss, yet insist that everyone needs to let go of last seasons losses to MSU and Troy.
