I believe a run game will settle Brennan with better OL play. Brennan will adjust weekly. He needs more blitz simulation at practice to speed up his hot reads. It is not an end all, but it may help him to see the field better.

He didn't play good but if you give him a clean pocket at least we know he has the arm to deliver the ball

A lot of times (probably 5-10), he had a clean pocket and chose to escape it because he couldn't find the open man and freaked out.

I have been posting for 2 years Brennan is not SEC caliber and most of you geniuses would just start reciting his high school stats.

We will play the best available QB we can put on the field.

We did.

He had 345 yards and 3 TDs in his first start. His inexperience is what cost us early in the game.

Are you implying that either of the 2 freshmen would have been better?

AND GO!

You do realize that Brennan had basically the same completion percentage as Costello? You do realize Brennan had far more drops? You do realize that Brennan was running for his life virtually every time he dropped back??? I would say most of the issues lay with the O Line. Rosenthal and Deculus had hopefully the worst games of their careers Saturday, because they appeared to block no one.

Yep, I guess he should learn to block as he throws. He was under pressure constantly. He had virtually the same completion percentage as Costello, had the same number of INTs (Although one of Brennan's was on a Hail Mary at games end, and the other he should have blocked the DE who hit his arm as he was throwing), and threw for 300+.

Some QBs have the “IT” factor, some don’t, Brennan clearly falls in the latter!

I guess you would have gotten rid of Burrow after his first LSU SEC start. He didn't exactly light it up.......One game does not a career make. Especially when the O line takes a day off like they did.
